My Upgrade Progress of New Reward Cards and Chaos Legion Cards + The Importance of Magic Attacks in Armored Up Ruleset
On August 15, 2024 the new Reward cards of the set Rebellion arrived on Splinterlands, and thanks to the GLINT I earned from my game activity, I started buying Draws in the Glint Shop with the goal of upgrading these new reward cards.
In my previous two posts, I shared my initial review of the new common and rare type reward cards:

For my strategy of upgrading new reward cards, I decided to start by upgrading the common type cards because they are the cards found in draws that cost the least and for this reason they are the easiest cards to upgrade to the maximum level even if they need 400 BCX per card.
For this reason, at the beginning of each season I will use the GLINT I earned in the previous season to purchase in order of priority:
- 400 Common Draw
- 100 Rare Draw
- 25 Epic Draw
- 10 Legendary Draw
To be able to buy 400 Common Draw + 100 Rare Draw + 25 Epic Draw + 10 Legendary Draw a total of 675500 GLINT are needed but I earn an average of 100K per season and therefore I will need a long time before I arrive to buy the Epic Draw and Legendary Draw.
In the previous season that ended just over a day ago, I earned about 104K GLINT from the rewards of my won battles and the end-of-season rewards.
I also had GLINT that I had not spent at the beginning of the previous season, and with 110526 GLINT at my disposal I purchased 400 Common Draw + 67 Rare Draw.

Based on the useful information at https://www.splintercards.com/ I can see my progress in accumulating and upgrading new reward cards:
- Common Regular: 16% -> 25%
- Common Gold: 3% -> 4%
- Rare Regular: 3% -> 8%
- Rare Gold: 1% -> 2%
- Epic: 0%
- Legendary: 0%
In order to speed up the upgrade of the new reward cards, I decided to focus only on the regular version cards, so today I burned all the new Gold version reward cards.
To burn my Gold reward cards I preferred to use the useful site Peakmonsters because it allows to select and burn more cards with less clicks and therefore faster than the Splinterlands site.
Thanks to the burn operation, I received 25000 GLINT.
Thanks to the GLINTs I obtained from the burn + the GLINTs I earned in the current season, I was able to purchase another 33 Rare Draw and also completed Batch 1 related to Rare Draw.
My Rebellion Common Reward cards have almost all reached level 6 and some cards will be useful to me in battle such as the cards I have indicated in the next image.
My Rebellion Rare Reward cards are still too low level for me to use them frequently in my battles in Modern Format's Gold leagues because I have other top level cards that I consider stronger and more useful in battle but there are cards that even if they are at level 2 and 3 might be useful to me in some battles that have precise rulesets such as the cards I have highlighted in the next image.
Upgrading the new reward cards is a goal of mine but I also have other upgrade goals related to Chaos Legion cards, Riftwatchers and non-soulbound cards of the Rebellion set.
I have two active Bid offers to upgrade to the maximum level the Agor Longtail and Oshuur Constantia cards which are two cards I use often in battle.
Thanks to the Purchase Bids I created through Peakmonsters, I recently completed 2 upgrade objectives related to cards of the Chaos Legion set:
- Nerissa Tridawn: level 5 -> level 6
- Xenith Archer: level 6 -> level 8
On Splinterlands I am primarily a player and not a collector because I enjoy playing the battles and upgrading the cards I use in battle is a way to improve my game results.
The last completed season was a very positive season for me because I improved my win rate from the previous season: 50.37%
In the current season I will try to achieve 2 goals:
- finish the season at least in the Gold I League of the Modern Format.
- earn at least 135K GLINT.
I will end this post by showing a recent battle of mine that is interesting because:
- I used one of the new reward cards: Nimbledock Explorer
- I used Agor Longtail and Oshuur Constantia which are two of my maximum level upgrade targets
- shows the importance of magic attacks when the ruleset is Armored Up.
In battles that have the ruleset Armored Up (+2 armor points to all cards in battle) I like to use cards that have a magic attack because it is the only attack that can hit life points and bypass armor point protection.
Cards that have the Repair ability and the Shatter ability are also very useful in this type of battle.
My opponent chooses to use cards with ** melee attack** and with attack from a distance and in my opinion this was a strategic mistake in a battle that has the Armored Up ruleset.
My opponent's strategic error produces an easy victory for me because the battle ends in round 5 and I end the battle with all six of my initial monster cards still alive.

Il 15 agosto 2024 su Splinterlands sono arrivate le nuove Reward cards del set Rebellion e grazie ai GLINT che ho guadagnato dalla mia attività di gioco ho iniziato ad acquistare i Draws nel Glint Shop con l'obiettivo di fare l'upgrade di queste nuove carte reward.
Nei miei precedenti due post ho condiviso una mia iniziale valutazione delle nuove reward cards di tipo comune e di tipo raro:

Per la mia strategia di upgrade delle nuove reward card ho deciso di iniziare dall'upgrade delle carte di tipo comune perchè sono le carte che si trovano nei draws che costano meno e per questo motivo sono le carte più facili da portare al livello massimo anche se servono 400 BCX per ogni carta.
Per questo motivo ad ogni inizio stagione utilizzerò i GLINT che ho guadagnato nella stagione precedente per acquistare in ordine di priorità:
- 400 Common Draw
- 100 Rare Draw
- 25 Epic Draw
- 10 Legendary Draw
Per riuscire ad acquistare 400 Common Draw + 100 Rare Draw + 25 Epic Draw + 10 Legendary Draw sono necessari in totale 675500 GLINT ma io guadagno in media 100K a stagione e per questo motivo avrò bisogno di molto tempo prima di arrivare ad acquistare gli Epic Draw e i Legendary Draw.
Nella precedente stagione che è terminata poco più di un giorno fa ho guadagnato circa 104K GLINT dalle ricompense delle mie battaglie vinte e dalla ricompensa di fine stagione.
Avevo anche dei GLINT che non avevo speso all'inizio della precedente stagione e con 110526 GLINT a disposizione ho acquistato 400 Common Draw + 67 Rare Draw.

Per velocizzare l'upgrade delle nuove reward cards ho deciso di focalizzarmi solo sulle carte in versione regular e per questo motivo oggi ho bruciato tutte le nuove reward card in versione Gold.
Per bruciare le mie Gold reward cards ho preferito utilizzare l'utile sito Peakmonsters perchè permette di selezionare e bruciare più carte con meno clicks e quindi in modo più veloce rispetto al sito di Splinterlands.
Grazie all'operazione di burn ho ricevuto 25000 GLINT
Grazie ai GLINT che ho ottenuto dalla bruciatura + i GLINT che ho guadagnato nella stagione in corso ho potuto acquistare altri 33 Rare Draw e ho completato anche il Batch 1 relativo ai Rare Draw.
Le mie Rebellion Common Reward cards hanno quasi tutte raggiunto il livello 6 e alcune carte potranno essermi utili in battaglia come le carte che ho indicato nella prossima immagine.
Le mie Rebellion Rare Reward cards hanno un livello ancora troppo basso perchè le possa utilizzare con frequenza nelle mie battaglie nelle leghe Gold del Modern Format perchè ho altre carte di livello massimo che considero più forti e utili in battaglia ma ci sono carte che anche se sono al livello 2 e 3 potrebbero essermi utili in alcune battaglie che hanno precise ruleset come ad esempio le carte che ho evidenziato nella prossima immagine.
L'upgrade delle nuove reward cards è un mio obiettivo ma ho anche altri obiettivi di upgrade relativi alle carte Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers e alle carte non soulbound del set Rebellion.
Ho due offerte Bid attive per fare l'upgrade al massimo livello delle carte Agor Longtail e Oshuur Constantia che sono due carte che utilizzo spesso in battaglia.
Grazie alle offerte di acquisto Bid che ho creato tramite Peakmonsters, di recente ho completato 2 obiettivi di upgrade relativi alle carte del set Chaos Legion:
- Nerissa Tridawn: level 5 -> level 6
- Xenith Archer: level 6 -> level 8
Su Splinterlands sono principalmente un giocatore e non un collezionista perchè mi diverto a giocare le battaglie e fare l'upgrade delle carte che utilizzo in battaglia è un modo per migliorare i miei risultati di gioco.
L'ultima stagione conclusa è stata una stagione molto positiva per me perchè ho migliorato il mio win rate rispetto alla stagione precedente: 50.37%
Nella stagione in corso cercherò di raggiungere 2 obiettivi:
- terminare la stagione almeno nella Gold I League del Modern Format
- guadagnare almeno 135K GLINT
Concludo questo post mostrando una mia recente battaglia che è interessante perchè:
- ho utilizzato una delle nuove reward cards: Nimbledock Explorer
- ho utilizzato Agor Longtail e Oshuur Constantia che sono due miei obiettivi di upgrade al massimo livello
- mostra l'importanza degli attacchi magici quando la ruleset è Armored Up
Nelle battaglie che hanno la ruleset Armored Up (+2 punti armatura a tutte le carte in battaglia) mi piace utilizzare carte che hanno un attacco magico perchè è l'unico attacco in grado di colpire i punti vita e bypassare la protezione dei punti armatura.
In questo tipo di battaglie sono anche molto utili le carte che hanno l'abilità Repair e l'abilità Shatter.
Il mio avversario sceglie di utilizzare carte con attacco da mischia e con attacco dalla distanza e secondo me questo è stato un errore strategico in una battaglia che ha la ruleset Armored Up.
L'errore strategico del mio avversario produce una facile vittoria per me perchè la battaglia termina al round 5 e concludo la battaglia con tutte e sei le mie carte mostro iniziali ancora in vita.

Nice purchase of reward cards. I don't get anywhere close to the glint you earned so it's quite slow. But increasing the card levels can help you in fights and I hope you get enough to get the full draw later in the future.

Only people with some decent money are collectors, and if one is not using a card, I don't see why they should keep it, unless they have a lot of money at their disposal.

Ho visto il nuovo evocatore e anche se costa 10 mana mi piacerebbe averlo ma bisognerà anche vedere quale sarà il costo perchè fin quando ci saranno i bots nel wild format investirò solo il 50% delle ricompense che ottengo dal gioco e dalla vendita delle carte e quindi con molta probabilità non lo comprerò almeno non da subito ;)
