Registration and First Login: Step By Step Guide
+ My Initial Game Activity
Those who read my Hive blog know well my passion for blockchain-based games and in particular know well my passion for Hive-based games.
In fact, there are many hive-based games I play, and also the content in my Hive blog very often has as its topic my gaming activities and strategies in Hive-based games.
Today I am sharing my very first gaming experience on Moon which is a game released on April 19, 2025, three days ago.
I discovered this game by reading @gadrian's post

To start playing on Moon there are two options for Login:
Login with a Hive account
Login with username and password
Moon players must respect the Rules which you can read by clicking on this link: https://moon.hive.pizza/index.php?page=rules

In this post I show the steps I performed to start playing on Moon.
Registration and First Login
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
The first step to do to start playing on Moon is Registration.
To register, I went to https://moon.hive.pizza/ and clicked on Register!
On the next screen:
- I entered my Hive account name
- then I accepted the Rules by clicking on the little square to the right of the word Rules
- then I clicked on **Register with Hive! **
- then I clicked Confirm on the Hive Keychain screen
After registering I was directed to the Overview game page where some general information is displayed.
For next Login simply:
- enter the Hive account name
- click on Keychain
- click on Confirm in the Hive Keychain screen
My initial game activity
For my first game operations, I was guided by the Tips for Beginners section that you can find within the FAQ menu.
At the top of each game screen are always displayed the useful resources in the game: Metal, Silicon, Uranium, Energy, Pizzabits.
I started constructing my buildings with the goal of increasing resource production.
The first Building to be built is the Solar Power Plant because it produces the energy that is needed to begin construction of the other buildings.
At the beginning of the game the energy = 0.
To build my Solar Power Plant, I clicked on Build.
I spent 75 Metal and 30 Silicon and waited 2 minutes and 31 seconds to complete the construction.
I also did the first upgrade of my Solar Power Plant for which I spent 112 Metal and 25 Silicon
I also built:
- Ore Extractor to produce Metal
- Silicon Refinery to produce Silicon
To build my Uranium Centrifuge I waited until I upgraded my Solar Power plant to the level 2 because 33 energy points are needed to start construction.
My next goal is to build the Research Lab but I must first accumulate all the required resources to begin construction.
The Research Lab is important because it unlocks new construction, new spaceships, and new defenses.
Resources also include Pizzabits which are in-game items that can be used to hire Officers and perform other in-game actions.
Pizzabits can be obtained in two ways:
- depositing PIZZA token: 1 PIZZA = 10 Pizzabits (note that the deposit operation is irreversible)
- via expedition missions
In the next image you can see the candlestick chart of the token PIZZA.
There are many other options and other game actions such as attacking other players, exploring and discovering new planets...but, for this post, I'll stop here and go play now because I have a space empire to build :)

In questo post mostro i passi che ho effettuato per iniziare a giocare su Moon.
Registration and First Login
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
La prima operazione da effettuare per iniziare a giocare su Moon è la Registrazione.
Per registrarmi sono andato su https://moon.hive.pizza/ e ho cliccato su Register!
Nella schermata successiva:
- ho inserito il mio Hive account name
- poi ho accettato le Rules cliccando sul quadratino a destra della parola Rules
- poi ho cliccato su Register with Hive!
- poi ho cliccato su Confirm nella schermata di Hive Keychain
Dopo aver effettuato la registrazione sono stato indirizzato alla pagina di gioco Overview in cui sono visualizzate alcune informazioni generali.
Per i successivi Login è sufficiente:
- inserire il Hive account name
- cliccare su Keychain
- cliccare su Confirm nella schermata di Hive Keychain
La mia attività di gioco iniziale
Per le mie prime operazioni di gioco mi sono fatto guidare dalla sezione Tips for Beginners che puoi trovare all'interno del menu FAQ.
Nella parte in alto in ogni schermata del gioco sono sempre visualizzate le risorse utili nel gioco: Metal, Silicon, Uranium, Energy, Pizzabits.
Ho iniziato a costruire i miei buildings con l'obiettivo di aumentare le mie risorse.
La prima Building da costruire è la Solar Power Plant perchè produce l'energia che è necessaria per iniziare la costruzione delle altre buildings.
All'inizio del gioco l'energia = 0.
Per costruire la mia Solar Power Plant ho cliccato su Build.
Ho speso 75 Metal e 30 Silicon e ho aspettato 2 minuti e 31 secondi per completare la costruzione.
Ho fatto anche il primo upgrade della mia Solar Power Plant per cui ho speso 112 Metal e 25 Silicon
Ho anche costruito:
- Ore Extractor per produrre Metal
- Silicon Refinery per produrre Silicon
Per costruire la mia Uranium Centrifuge ho aspettato l'upgrade della mia Solar Power plant al livello perchè sono necessari 33 punti energia per iniziare la costruzione.
Il mio prossimo obiettivo sarà costruire il Research Lab ma devo prima accumulare tutte le risorse richieste per iniziare la costruzione.
Il Research Lab è importante perchè sblocca nuove costruzioni, nuove navi spaziali e nuove difese.
In questo post mi fermo qui e nel mio prossimo post su Moon mostrerò i miei progressi relativi alle mie costruzioni.
Tra le risorse ci sono anche i Pizzabits che sono in-game items utilizzabili per assumere Officers e per effettuare altre azioni di gioco.
I Pizzabits possono essere ottenuti in due modi:
- depositando PIZZA token: 1 PIZZA = 10 Pizzabits (nota che l'operazione di deposito è irreversibile)
- tramite le expedition missions
Nella prossima immagine puoi vedere il grafico candlestick del token PIZZA.
Ci sono tante altre opzioni e altre azioni di gioco come attaccare gli altri giocatori, esplorare e scoprire nuovi pianeti...ma, per questo post, mi fermo qui e vado subito a giocare perchè ho un impero spaziale da costruire :)

One remark, from what you said in your guide.
It is better to register using an username and password (email can be bogus/nonexistent, they don't check), if you intend to play on mobile too. With keychain login there is issue on mobile (on Android), or there was when I tried it and I had to go through support to change my login method from Keychain to username and password. Eco recommends username and password too.

I think the estimable @hivetrending has a lot of the login issues worked out, you can now register with Hive account and still log in with username and password on a device without keys.
Much of this is thanks to your early work and assistance/insistance!!

So I started playing the game and I think I'm doing good right now, man. I'm currently ranked 64th out of 247 players. I started a day late and I haven't used any Pizzabits. I think it's good, the fact that it's free to play seems to have contributed to the rise of the token.
Yes it looks like a fun game and the fact that it is free to play is an added value

Thanks for this tutorial!
I started playing yesterday, and this game is actually something new to me (I played Nova years ago, which is similar, but I barely remember anything from that time).
As for logging in with the keychain, it won't let me. I already registered my #hive username, but it still won't let me in that way. I can only log in with a different password.

Another user wrote me in the comments that login with Hive keychain doesn't work well on mobile.
So if you play from mobile that might be the problem.
Login using username and password on the other hand works fine
