Unplanned Sunday Visit to My Aunt's... xD

Last Sunday morning, while having breakfast with my parents, my mom suddenly mentioned that she wanted to go to the next town to visit my aunt. I didn't have any classes scheduled then, so I told her... Let's go!!!

My father also agreed and volunteered to take care of Max and Arashi while Mama and I went to my aunt's place.

We walked to the tricycle station near the public high school. It's just around a 5-minute walk from our house. It was a hot day, but our area is windy and comfortable.

Going to my aunt's place takes about 30 minutes by tricycle. The view is beautiful because it's mostly the Tañon Strait on the right side og the road. There's little to no pollution, unlike our previous place, so we can enjoy the fresh air during the commute.

Mama cooked some eggplant omelette before we left for Papa's lunch, so we also brought some to my aunt's place. However, my uncle actually went out for a bit and bought us some lechon and watermelon. (Thanks dyyyy~!)

It's been a while since we ate lechon, so we're so happy. haha XD. It's quite a hot day, so we decided to eat on their porch because we love some fresh air. It was so fun eating, talking, and just spending time together.

My mom and I originally planned to stay until around 4 PM because we wanted to walk uphill back to our house from the main road. We wanted to challenge ourselves... It's around a 40-minute walk on an uphill road. However, we kind of enjoyed talking a lot, and it was already a little past 5 in the afternoon when we finally said goodbye and headed home.

The sun was about to set when we passed by the coastal area again. On weekends, some people would hang around this area since it's a public beach. Then, when we arrived at our starting point going up to our place, we bought bottled water first because we were quite thirsty, and we'd need it for the uphill climb. lol

I took this via the FB Messenger camera, so the quality isn't good... I had to update Papa on where we were. lol

This is one of the uphill climbs we had to walk through. There are about three long stretches of uphill climb we need to walk through before the course feels much better. This photo was taken on the second climb. Good thing is, even though the road goes uphill, it's not very steep, just a long stretch. xD

This area is basically the highest point of the walk, so from here, we only need to go on a flat or slightly downhill road. This is one of my favorite views in our place. Papa and I have jogged around this area before I hurt my ankle two months ago. XD

Then, there's the sunset sky... This was taken at around 6:05 PM... We started our walk at around 5:40ish PM...

Then, finally, we took the shortcut, and this is behind our place. This photo was taken at around 6:20 PM... So the walk took around 40 minutes or so. It felt really refreshing, and I'd love to challenge going downhill to the coastal area and back up to our place with Papa next time.

My ankle survived this walk, so I'm kind of ready to do my usual walks again. It's been a while... and also last week, I restarted riding the stationary bicycle. It feels good to exercise! :D

My aunt sent us some lechon home, so Papa happily ate it as well. It was indeed a fun and interesting Sunday. Usually, spontaneous decisions happen more than planned ones. hahaha

That's it for this post. Thanks for reading, and see you around! Have a good one! (^^,)/
