It's been very hot in my area for the past few weeks. It's not that bad because it's quite windy and comfortable, but it wouldn't hurt to have something to cool ourselves with.
It so happened that we harvested a soursop (Guyabano) fruit from our garden the other day. We waited for it to ripen more and this morning, my mom said it was ready.

I was busy with work in the morning, so we decided to prepare it after lunch instead, so we could chill it and have it in the afternoon.
First, we sliced it in half. It's big, but we're only going to use the softer meat part, and we have to get rid of the thicker portion as well as the seeds.

There were lots of seeds and some thick parts that are actually quite bitter, so we won't include them. However, we're going to put them into our compost pit. Actually, there's a couple more soursop fruit growing on our trees in the garden right now, so we're excited to have more in the coming days.

We placed the soursop meat in a separate container and put it in the fridge. We didn't have condensed milk yet at that time. hahah I went back to my room and opened a few classes. The temperature was around 33 degrees, and the humidity was 70%. I opened my room window so fresh air could come in. I don't use AC anymore. :D

I was still working, so I asked my mom to take a photo before adding condensed milk to it. So, here's the shot she sent me. :)
I finished my last class at around 4:30 in the afternoon, so we had the delicious chilled treat together. :)

Heavenly goodness! hahaha

My parents and I enjoyed it. It was the perfect combination of sweet and tangy flavor. The amount of condensed milk was good for me, but my father has a sweet tooth and added a little more to his cup, so my mom and I were like... STOPPP!!! hahahaha Good thing he did. XD

And after eating, we are all so happy.. HAHAH... Happy tummy, refreshed mind and body. :D Have you guys tried this delicious treat? It's among my favorite fruits... <3
I'll end this post here for now. See you around! (^^,)/
