Abstract Painting with My Younger Cousin Godwyn... 💙✨

My cousin sent me a message last week asking if I'm free this weekend. I usually have classes, but all of my students rescheduled except for one.

I asked him why and he said he wanted me to help him with his art project. It's not the first time we did something like this, so I got pretty excited about it. I told him my schedule and so, they arrived yesterday morning.

I already finished my 2-hour class when they arrived, so it was all good. We shared some delicious lunch prepared by my mom @arashi0416. After lunch, we started with our art adventure! XD

We had to work on our dining table since it's the biggest table we have. The canvas is so big that it barely fit! I was honestly a bit worried at first because of the size, but when my cousin told me they're required to do an abstract painting, my worry turned to excitement! 😆✨

First, we discussed the kind of design we're going for before starting... Then, I showed him how to do it, before he started helping me with it. He loves sketching, but painting is not his thing... so I'm happy to help him with it.

We're going for a sunset slash doomsday kind of vibe... I mostly placed the paint on the canvas, and we both did the mixing and stuff. We both used our hands and various types of brushes to create different kinds of texture.

I couldn't take any more photos of the progress because we were too busy painting and talking about various stuff like music, his school, anime, and so on.

We were almost finish with the painting at this point. All thats left were the final touches and painting the sides of the canvas.

After I finished painting my side, I documented the serious face of my younger cousin painting the opposite side of the canvas. He was being careful because he was scared to stain the table with paint even though I told him it doesn't matter since I do it all the time. lol Besides, it's a glass table, so cleaning or taking the acrylic paint off would be easy. 😁

It turned out better than we expected. We played with the details by adding some dark creatures... But you'll have to find it. Hahaha

I had to place the painting in my room away from the fur babies, especially Arashi... He might make it his brand new toilet. Lol 😆 🤣

After painting, we played Mobile Legends... It's our usual bonding. Art, gaming, anime, music... I guess Godwyn (my younger cousin) and I share a lot of common interests, so there's never a dull moment together.

We both miss @adamsale, though. She's really busy these days since her graduation is just around the corner, then she'll have to review for the license exam for teachers. She's also our fave cousin and our Estes gods in ML. hahaha Miss you Ikoiiii 😢🥰✨😘

Godwyn and his mom left earlier tonight. He'd have to go back to school tomorrow and I'll have to work as well. It was an art and gaming-filled weekend for both of us. It's his summer vacation soon, so I hope to spend time with him again then.
