ASEAN Hive Community Challenge #153 (Photography): Into The Blue (Photoshoot with Father)

Hey friends... especially to my fellow ASEAN Hivers! ^^ It's been ages since I last participated in the weekly challenge, so I'm glad to join this time around. It's fun as it's a photography challenge. I enjoy taking photos using my phone despite its not-so-good quality. The important things are the experience and how I convey my message through the images I take.

The ASEAN Hive Community Challenge this week is entitled Photography: Into The Blue, so we are to photograph anything blue. Instead of the usual checking my phone galleries for anything blue, I decided to do a photoshoot. lol

It's my and my father's schedule to go for a jog, so I requested he wear something blue because I will take photos of him. He willingly accepted my request, so here are the results. :)

We headed out at around 4:20 in the morning. It was still pretty dark, but the front of our house had excellent lighting. Our home, store and gate are also blue. This is my father's outfit of the day (OOTD) coordinated by my mom. haha

We're going to the oval track, so we couldn't take the fur babies. They're also pretty much asleep at this time, so they'll take care of the house with our mother. :)

We jogged and walked around the oval for about 30 minutes. We decided to leave at around five because it was crowded at that time, and we wanted to go to the beach to see the sunrise.

The sunrise was amazing this morning. It was beautiful and calming. :) I'm not wearing blue, but let me just insert this duofie for a bit. We breathed in fresh air and relaxed before I did another photoshoot with my father. haha

We then headed to the nearby park to walk more and look for anything blue. It's much brighter since the sun is up, so the photos would be much clearer.

We bought some taho as we walked out of the beach... then, we saw this cute blue minivan, so I asked him to strike a pose with his taho. haha

The park is near the police station where my father used to work. He's a retired police officer. When I was in high school, I used to come here and help my father write their report in their logbook. That's when my mom and I visited him after going to church. The police station is much bigger now, though.

We passed by the bus station near the church on our way home. It's very convenient to go to different places in Cebu City from our city these days. I wish we had had this transportation when I was a student. Commuting was always a struggle for me back then, especially when I had a morning shift at the hospital.

This photo is quite random, but it so happened that the bakery we chose to buy our breakfast from this morning was also blue. This bakery is called Muy Bien. It's been a while since we bought some bread from this shop. It's delicious and more reasonable than other popular local bakeries near our house.

We arrived home at a little past six. Max woke up when we opened the gate, so we let him out of his sleeping place. He happily welcomed us back and ran around the front yard and mom's small garden. My mom and Arashi were still asleep, so we played for a while before I went inside. I had a class at around 8, so we had to prepare for breakfast after resting.

And yeah, that's the end of our photoshoot. haha
I hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading and see you around! (^^,)/

I didn't know there was a photograpy contest in the Asian Community, cool!
It's always nice to go out for taking photographs instead of searching photos in your archive. And how cool that your doing these walks with your dad and that he also wants to be your model.
And he looks to enjoy it too.nice series of photos and good luck in the contest!

If you like photography, you should check out mybweekly overview post ofnall photography contests.

ASEAN Hive sometimes hosts photography challenges, though it's not a regular thing. I do love taking photos, but I only use my smartphone to take one and the quality isn't that good... I enjoy it, though.

That's true. I don't go out often, but I try to go for a walk/jog at least once a week. :) Thank you!

I'll check it out! ^^

It's not the camera that is making nice pictures, it is the photographer 😉

When I buy expensive brushes I also won't be able to make such lovely paintings as you do.

There is a specific phone photography contest too by the way.

I like green and perhaps that is the reason whey I don't notice so much blue around us! You seem to have a great time with your dad! I'm so happy for you.

Wow, your father is so supportive of your request. You both are disciplined when tit comes to exercising. I'm still asleep at 4 in the morning and probably snoring. 😀You both are very productive even it's still early. Sunrise watching gives me a feeling of hope and determination. What better way to end the morning walk with some delicious cup of taho!

He is... we only do it once a week, we normally wake up around 7AM. hahaha
It feels good to be productive. ^^

You have a cool Dad who always accompanies you on your jogging spree. He enjoys your photo session in the blue. I envy you. My Dad passed away when I was young and it made me blue and devastated. He was my buddy, and he never failed me whenever I needed him around.

There is so much blue around you. So calm and invigorating. Indeed you are somewhat of a blue personality.☺️🌷 Have a lovely day @tegoshei. God bless.

That's right... We had more time to bond these days, so I'm glad he opted to retire early. :) Otherwise, I won't have such moments with him. He and my mom are my besties! ^^

Thank you so much. Have an awesome one din po! :D

It's good that your parents are your best friends. The Millennials and Gen Z today seldom connect with their parents. You are blessed to have them @tegoshei. Keep your bondings always memorable while they are still around. God bless.💖🌷🕊️
