Greetings ASEAN Hivers 🙏🏻, I am @kidsisters welcome to this curation featuring Southeast Asian travel and culture content from within the ASEAN Hive Community.
Hi, ASEAN Hivers, I'm Srey-Yuu (@kidsisters). My family just bought a land and my mom and dad are busy. There are some tourist from one of the cities/towns in Cambodia. Since it is Khmer New Year, everyone is busy with families, friends, and more.
I didn't do anything much for Khmer New Year, so I'll just share one of our member's post. When it is new year day people like to go to pagodas, traveling, meet with families, play with friends, and shoot water, and powder to people. It is a bit dangerous here when it is new year time. People usually play with water and powder to whoever they see, specially on the roads, sometimes they even cause accident, and argues. As long as I could remember the last time I play with powder and water is when I was in Siem Reap played with other villagers and my cousins.
I never know that Thailand has the same new year as Cambodia. Here in Cambodia people also pure water on the Buddha image. I think I've done it once or twice. It is a bit different here in Cambodia the New Year start from 14th until 16th but in Thailand it is start from 13rd until 15th. So, this post about Thai New Year is from @kriang3teejoe. Next post is by @winelay, and it is another New Year post but this New Year is from Myanmar. Myanmar also have a similar way of celebrate the New Year to Cambodia. By the way, I really like the Thingyan pot that @winelay made.
They are so many cool arts. To me Noel Belulok's arts are all beautiful. The Sarawak Rainforest festival is so cool, I don't think Cambodia have that kind of festival. I wish I could see it someday. This cool post is made by @luueetang.
(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) 🖊️ Hello everyone. Today, Thai people in the north are called Wan Phaya Wan. It is the New Year's day for the northern Thai people. This morning I wrote Story about New Year's Day. And This post in the ASEAN community. I write more stories from last post.
(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) Hello everyone how are you? Today I'm @ahleap to share you about the situation in my Cambodia. Today is April 14, 2022, the day that the Cambodian people celebrate the New Year. My family and I have been very busy for a few days now.Because you have to clean, prepare the house, decorate the house and buy food, buy flowers and festive for items.
(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) Hello, warm greetings to all friends. Welcome back to my new post. Yesterday I told you how to make a cute Origami Envelope. These days, we have a festival to welcome Myanmar new year in our country. So these days I think I'm just going to talk about the water festival and the snack. Today marks the start of that water festival. So today I am going to talk about Thingyan flower pot that a symbol of Thingyan.
(ᴇxᴄᴇʀᴘᴛ) Meet Noel Belulok, one of my ex colleagues who I used to work with in school for a couple of years. His art is special. He specializes on batik art. This is him. He's a really nice person. His art work usually are sold to westerners who are in the country during festivals such as the Sarawak Rainforest world music that has been held annually here in Miri until the pandemic halted everything.
Delegators are valued members of our community, so each @asean.hive curation post (other than the main weekly delegator raffle post) features a mini delegator raffle in the footer, with the winner receiving 10% post beneficiary.
You got land! That's fantastic news!!
I like that you have more than one day for new year. We just have the one. I don't think we place a much importance on it in the western world as many Asian countries seem to.

My mom and my dad do. I don't know here even the weddings are long, in some places it only took one day but some places took about two or three days. Have a nice day.
Congratulations all @ahleap, @gooddream, @kriang3teejoe, @luueetang and @winelay
Thank you so much for stopping by.
I'm happy to find so many unique and interesting cultures and information from countries in Southeast Asia, that's what made me fall in love with the #aseanhive community, many new things from other countries' cultures that I have learned since joining the #aseanhive family.
Although this community appreciates all content from its members, I hope that each member will not only display photography here, but also show many aspects of culture and life in their country, and it will be very interesting to study and learn.
The more culture and people's lives in our country that we know, the higher our love for our beloved country and the more we know the culture of other countries, the higher the sense of respect for each other, and that will make the sense of kinship even closer.
God created us to be tribes and nations whose goal is to get to know each other, greetings from me @lion-bull to all the #aseanhive family
