Hello everyone, Welcome to my Splinterlands Social Media Challenge post. In this post, I will talk about Redemption Ability, and I will also talk about an amazing battle. I hope it will be useful for you.
In the Splinterlands, all abilities can be very effective in battles when used with a good strategy, and some of them are incredibly effective when used in certain rulesets or combined with certain abilities. In short, it is up to you to make the abilities more effective in battles with your strategy.
When a Monster with the Redemption Ability dies, it does 1 damage to all enemy monsters.
Although this may seem like a simple ability, it is a ability that can be very effective in certain battles that are not simple at all, and when you use it with a good strategy, you can turn your opponents' strategies upside down.
It is not possible to dodge Redemption and when activated it will inflict 1 damage to all enemy Monsters without any interruption, but the impact of the damage can be reduced with the Shield Ability. By the way, Redemption strikes the armor first. Additionally, when Redemption is triggered, there is no interruption, meaning abilities like Scavenger Ability will not activate until Redemption is completely over.
If you want the Redemption Ability to trigger early in the battle, you can make them the primary target of the enemies, that is, you can strategically position them as fodder. For example, Monsters with the Sneak Ability target the last Monster on the Enemy Team. Monsters with the Snipe Ability target the first enemy Monster with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that is not in the first position with Ranged or Magic attacks. Or you can use the Redemption Ability in the first position. In short, you can make them the first target of your enemies with your strategy.
By the way, in battles with the Born Again Ruleset, the Redemption Ability will trigger twice as all Monsters have the Rebirth ability, so you may want to use the Redemption Ability in this ruleset. Additionally, you may want to use the Redemption Ability in rulesets such as Earthquake and Noxious Fumes. I would like to say that I use the Redemption Ability a lot in these three rulesets, because I can determine more stable strategies with it in these three rulesets.
There are 18 cards with the Redemption Ability in Splinterlands, but Iidri Fyre and Kra'ar Xoc are only available in chests, while Fina Voxom is only available in gladius cases, and the other 15 cards are traded on the market.
Let's examine the Redemption Ability in a battle.
According to the rulesets of the battle, in this battle, all Monsters will have the Rebirth Ability but will lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities, and Monsters with Magic attack may not be used.
First of all, I chose Eternan Brune as the Summoner because I wanted to use a gladiator card in this battle and reduce the armor of all enemy Monsters by 2.
And in this battle I used 2 Monsters with the Redemption Ability, putting Exploding Rats in the first position and Iidri Fyre in the last position. Since Iidri Fyre also has the Taunt Ability, all enemies in the backline will target it. And Iidri Fyre also has the Return Fire Ability, which means that when enemy ranged attack monsters hit it, they will take half the damage (rounded up) back. I positioned both of them so that they would be the first target of the enemies. And since they will both have the Rebirth Ability in this battle, the Redemption Ability can be triggered twice in this battle, and I believed that this could upset my opponent's strategy and plans. Additionally, since Exploding Rats has high speed, it would probably be the first to attack. And since it has the Blast Ability, its attack can be very effective.
In the second position I put Dumacke Orc with Shield and Retaliate abilities.
In the third position I put Chimney Wallstop with Reach, Bloodlust and Repair abilities.
According to my strategy, Exploding Rats would be one of the first Monsters to die, and when it dies, Dumacke Orc will take the first position, and Chimney Wallstop will take the second position. And since there would be no magic attackers in this battle, I had no doubt that they would be very effective against melee and ranged attacks.
The mana cap of the battle is 33 and I already filled 32 mana, so I didn't have much choice. In the fourth position I put Radiated Scorcher, which costs 1 mana, and in the fifth position I put Scorch Fiend, which costs 0 mana. I can say that I put them in those positions in case there were Monsters with Blast Ability on the opposing team.

The opposing player's strategy was much better than I expected, and fighting against a Summoner like Astral Entity is not easy at all. In such a battle, it was very wise to give the Dodge Ability to Monsters that have high speed and Flying Ability. It's really hard to fight against them and hit them with melee and ranged attacks, sometimes it can even be very frustrating.
If I had not used 2 Monsters with Redemption Ability in this battle, it would have been incredibly difficult for my team to win this battle, but fortunately I added them to my team.
Redemption Ability and Return Fire Ability almost turned the opponent player's strategy upside down, and in the first two rounds, the enemies took very serious damage and the opponent player's strategy was significantly disrupted. Most interestingly, they didn't even get the chance to destroy Iidri Fyre a second time.
Monsters with high speed and flying ability, such as Ever-Hungry Skull and Riftwing, had the Dodge Ability in this battle, which caused the battle to last 20 rounds, but they were not powerful enough to defeat my strategy. However, undoubtedly, the fact that Dumacke Orc and Chimney Wallstop had armor and Chimney Wallstop's Repair Ability played a big role in winning the battle. That's why I attach great importance to armor and repair ability in such battles. Especially in battles where there are no magic attack monsters, I attach great importance to using armored monsters and including the repair ability in my lineup.
The opponent player's strategy was also very good and therefore the battle lasted 20 rounds. At the end of the battle, while all the monsters on the opposing team were destroyed, 5 monsters on my team were still alive, which shows that my strategy worked better. Actually, according to my strategy, Iidri Fyre was supposed to be destroyed, but it was very interesting that he was still alive at the end of the battle. My strategy was very cruel for the opponent team, and in the first two rounds, all the monsters with attack power in the opponent team's backline were destroyed, so there were no enemies left to destroy Iidri Fyre.
This battle was a good example of how useful the Redemption Ability and Repair Ability were in battles. In these types of battles, you may want to include these abilities in your lineup to disrupt your opponent's strategy. I hope you enjoyed my battle and this article will be useful for you. If you have any questions about the Splinterlands game and its gameplay, please feel free to ask and I will be happy to answer.
