Splinterlands Campaign Mode: Diving into Waur Medge Academy

In splinterlands game, the campaign mode is the new edition and after going through some of the blogs about this mode of the game I also thought of checking it out. I did cheque out the available option for this mode in the gaming website where I can see there are two options which are categorised in book 1 and book 2. The book one is currently available for the gameplay and book two it's showing as coming soon.

The book one is called Waur Medge Academy. Once I entered in the book one which is called Academy I got chapters in series. You can take it like certain levels where when you complete the earlier level the next one gets opened for you and that's how it works. With each winning level you are rewarded with some cards or glint token which is fun.

I have completed chapter 6 In one go and it did not take long. As I already mentioned that for each chapter completion we are rewarded with card and glint tokens so here is the reward that you can see for that.

I have got three cards which are different cards along with 100 glint tokens. I don't know how this reward is determined and if it varies player to player but whatever is reported is good to have.

On the same page we can also see the option to move on to the next chapter after claiming the reward so after the chapter seven I move ahead to chapter 8. There is an option to enter arena on the page and some information is also provided which you can read and understand more but for me I was more focused on completing the chapter so that I can move on to the next one.

I completed chapter eight abilities and also some more levels that completed all chapters up to ten today. This is a fun journey and the way it is designed is a cool gamification also. What I'm trying to say is that you get a great gaming experience because you keep on moving upside when you complete one chapter and each chapter has got a different name that you can also see on the snapshot.

I have completed first ten chapters and the next one is going to be eleventh chapter for me which is called modifiers. I find these name quite catchy and interesting which is really good to read and feel like something is achieved in the game and truly represents a campaign mode where something is linked in a series where we can move ahead step by step.

While playing this new format of the game which is known as campaign mode I was little sceptical in the beginning that if I am going to be matched with a player or not. I also thought that the waiting time could be higher but surprisingly it did not happen and every time I was matched with the player in no time which shows that the community is excited about this new mode. I don't think that it is required to be mentioned that it is a new game so obviously no automated players are possible in this format and everyone who is playing is the real human player. Playing with real player is more fun to be honest because we have higher opportunity to win and lose at the same time because we don't know what is going to happen. Because I have been playing from last season in the wild format so sometimes I am matched with the real player and sometimes I am matched with bot player also which is hard to identify.

This new campaign mode brings a refreshing experience for the players when we feel like we are scoring better and going up with each chapter completion. Generally when we play in the ranked format then there is nothing like that and we just need to keep on playing the battles to increase the rating which increase league after certain threshold and that is how it works. Overall the battle experience is going to be the same and we don't feel like that we are completing some sort of chapters so this is a refreshed part of the game which brings a great exciting part on the battleground to make it more fun and entertaining. I have completed ten chapters already and will be trying to complete more in next few days for that I will share my progress later in another blog hopefully.
