Jumping Back into Splinterlands: A Whirlwind of Changes

I was not available on this platform for about three weeks and now when I'm back I can see a lot of changes. First of all I want to say that I was not expecting those many changes but now I learnt that it is a fast growing platform where changes are happening very frequently. This is what the first time that has happened with me so going forward in future I will try to keep myself updated and involved even when I'm not around if possible. Talking about the splinterlands game where the new edition of pack is available for the purchase and that is not all because many other changes are also implemented in this gaming project.

I am just trying to go through the changes and learn it well so that I can plan my gaming activities accordingly. Because of these many changes in the game I'm not able to continue the battle. The biggest region of not able to start the battle is that the Chaos Legion pack is not part of the modern gaming format anymore. So there are two ways we can play the game and these are basically formats which we call wild and modern. Basically wild is format where every edition card is usable for the play but in modern only selected additions are usable for the gameplay.

I have never played in the wild format so I cannot share a real user experience but because I have been playing modern so I know how it works and what type of cards can be used. But with the recent change when one entire addition is taken off from the game format so I need to plan my gaming with type of cards accordingly. I was more familiar with the Chaos Legion cards so now I need to learn another edition and I also need to see which cards are good for me because I was mostly dependent upon the rental market. I believe that it is very important to get familiar with the cards then only you can start playing the battle which I am trying to do.

The new edition packs are also available which is called Conclave Arcana. The general sale is live for this edition of card packs in the game and this edition has got four subcategories of the packs. While going through about this pack edition in the game I got to know that starter is the cheapest one with unlimited quantity available in the game. The other categories have some limits on the supply which makes sense because keeping unlimited will not help and it will also impact on the price because the supply is never going to end but keeping a limit on the supply will make it rare and rarity also play an important role on the price determination.

I am planning to buy some packs from the latest edition Conclave Arcana. But at the same time I also feel that through the buying I will not be able to have enough number of cards available for me as far as gaming is concerned. In that case I will have to depend upon the rental market where at least I can get some cards at reasonable price and I need not to spend a big money on the cards only.

The SPS price has improved a lot in last few weeks and I'm happy that I was able to buy some but little bit sad that I could not buy a bigger quantity and the price has increased. This price increase is good for those who are looking to book some profit but not good for those who are planning to buy some like me because now to buy the same amount of tokens I need to pay more. SPS is the valuable coin of this game so having more sps means we are able to empower the game with better rewards and of course it is going to be more beneficial for anyone holding higher sps power. Because this is a governance coin so it also comes with additional benefits where holders can participate in some decision making for the project and that is not related to the monetary benefits as far as I am aware.

I was checking the sps price in internal marketplace and currently it is slightly more than one cent however a downtrend can also be seen on this price chart. Maybe this will result in the price drop in coming weeks but it is not guaranteed because if the market is growing then obviously the similar impact can also be seen on the SPS price. I have purchased SPS from the external exchanges and in the beginning I had to struggle a lot to transfer those into the game account however now I am planning to buy from the internal market so that transferring can be an easy process for me. Buying is also super easy on the internal marketplace and the same way moving those tokens into the game account is also easy.

I have gone through the rental market for other traditions in the game but those cards are kind of new for me so I believe that I need to spend couple of hours on that. All I want to have a set of cards on the rental that should be good for the game play and I can get those cards at a reasonable rental price. The other two editions are called Rift Watchers and rebellion that can be considered for the modern gameplay and conclave arcana is this still too new to concede of this. I just hope that I can get some good cards from both the editions in the game preferably from the Rift Watchers. It is clear that the rental charges are high with these additions because the demand is higher from the people who are playing the modern format of the game.

It may be too early to say but if things do not fall right on the modern format of the game then I might consider the world as well. I understand from my mentor that the reward in wild format is less and I have to pay for the world format also to play so I need to go through this aspect as well and understand if it is a good decision I can try for. Obviously it is a game so no matter if I play in modern or in wild the experience is going to be awesome with certain changes I believe. If you have any thoughts about it and if you can guide me about some cards or the type of gameplay I would appreciate any suggestions about it.
