Games as we have known them for several years have changed, and now, thanks to blockchain technology and web3, we can earn rewards and have fun at the same time. of course, if you like TCG-type games with automatic battles in which strategy and our way of thinking as players is very important, since depending on the rules of the battle/modifiers and, of course, the deck of cards we have, we may or may not increase our chances of winning.
Of course, there are many things that have happened that make Splinterlands one of the best games of 2025. The best part is that you can forget about the endless games that happen in other TCGs, where there are endless turns. So, this will be one of the first guides I publish in 2026. It won't be very long, but rather brief, precise, and to the point so that new users can quickly see what they need to do to get started in the game.
So, let's get started with the content. I hope you find it useful, and if you want to know everything you need to know to get into the "Meta" of 2026, stay tuned until the end:

In Splinterlands, it's not the player with the fastest finger who wins, but the player who best reads the battlefield. As I mentioned before, battles are automatic, so the order of the cards, the modifiers, and your creativity are crucial to increasing your chances of winning the battle.
Now, here are some of the things you should learn and keep in mind:
Summoners/Archons and Lineages: Your Summoner/Archon defines which element (Fire, Water, Earth, etc.) you will use on the field, however, this year, 2026, the Bloodline mechanics introduced in the Arcane Conclave set rule, so you don't just choose cards, you build combinations that empower your team regardless of which element they belong to. However, you can find Archons or normal cards that have dual elements, which adds another layer to your strategies.
The Mana Limit: You have a tactical restriction (usually 25 mana at the start, minimum 12). Each unit has a cost; if you exceed it, you cannot enter the battle or play, which is why a card's stats are so important, as they allow you to know whether you can play them or not.
Correct positioning: The "Front Row" contains "Melee" tanks and the "Back Row" contains so-called Range snipers and Mages.
The Tiebreaker Rule: If two cards have the same speed, the order of attack is as follows: Magic > Range > Melee. You should remember this, because a poorly calculated tie can cost you the battle, so be very careful and pay attention to speed in the game because it is very important.
What's new in 2025: Take advantage of the "Training Mode" and interactive "Tips" to learn more about gameplay.

The Splinterlands ecosystem has evolved significantly since its creation. Now the economy is in the hands of the DAO, so here is a comparative map of how the rewards are structured:
| Method | What are you doing? | Difficulty | I can't wait! |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ranked Battles | Win duels in Modern or Wild. | Beginner | SPS and points for the Glint Shop. |
| Glint Shop / Chest | You exchange your victory points. | Beginner | Soulbound Cards, potions and jackpots". |
| Seasonal Rental | Rent your cards for the entire season. | medium | SPS Passive (No longer necessary to renew daily). |
| SPS strike | You lock your tokens on the platform. | medium | Up to 13.3x multiplier in your earnings. |
| Land | You produce grains, SPS, or research.. | Advanced | Resources and extra SPS (Deflationary effect). |
| Validator Nodes | You run software with a license.. | Pro | SPS and Vouchers (Passive income). |
The Staking: If you have 0 SPS staked, your multiplier is 0, so in order for your wins to count, you need locked SPS. Also, keep in mind that the Wild format now requires almost twice as much SPS as Modern to maintain the same multiplier, so in theory, playing in that format would be more profitable in terms of rewards that can be earned.
I've seen many people burn out or overthink things by wanting to buy everything on the first day or thinking they need everything. Don't be that person. To avoid this kind of thinking, follow my advice:
Rent the Meta, don't buy it (yet): Use your credits to rent key cards from Arcane Conclave. Look for Archmage Yabanius or monsters with Bloodline abilities. These units will give you more victories for a fraction of the purchase cost. Of course, you must first learn the basics of battle, which I already mentioned (modifiers, stats, mana, etc.).
Use Midnight Potions: If you are going to open packs or search for special cards, these potions are vital for improving your chances of obtaining "Black Foil" or high-value cards, as they can give you a very good reward, since they are extremely difficult to obtain.
Join a Guild: Participating in Brawls gives you Merits to purchase Gladiator cards, which are the most powerful in the game. If you manage to get a guild into a high Tier, which will be difficult at first, you can earn SPS in each battle cycle against other guilds.

I hope you enjoyed this brief introduction to what you need to do in Splinterlands to earn rewards. I didn't want to cover too many complex terms or complicated strategies; I wanted to keep it simple so that newer players can understand what they need to do.
