Time Bandit Was the Secret Weapon Behind My Victory - Interesting Battle Ruleset

What is so special about Time Bandit Monster that helped me get a great win in today's 52 mana battle? It is a monster card that is often ignored but if you use it with the right positioning and the right strategy it can become a real battle changer.

Today's 52 mana battle was very interesting. With some special modifiers and battle rules I managed to win and achieved a fantastic victory.

There were three important rulesets in this battle that were necessary to understand before entering the match.

The first one was Back to Basics which means all units lose their abilities. Any monster ability cannot be used during the battle. Only the stats of your monsters matter and the result depends on those stats.

The second modifier was Unprotected that means all units start with zero armor and cannot gain armor from summoners or abilities. There was no protection in this battle. All armor was removed and armor related abilities became useless.

The third modifier was Outsiders which means you can summon only one Wild unit.

Keeping these three modifiers in mind I selected my monsters and entered the battle with a specific strategy.

Remember that understanding modifiers and rulesets before entering a battle is very important. Every Splinterlands player should first read and understand the rules and then build a strategy according to them.

In this 52 mana battle I selected five monsters while my opponent also selected six monsters.

Since abilities and armor were not going to work in this battle I did not choose a single armor based monster. Instead I focused on monsters with high health.. In battles where abilities do not matter it is usually better to select monsters with higher health because they can survive longer.

The longer your monsters stay alive in the battle , the higher your chances of winning will be. While they survive, they continue dealing melee, ranged and magic damage to enemy units.

For this reason I placed strong melee attackers and high health monsters in the front line. In the back line I positioned ranged and magic attackers so that maximum damage could be dealt every round and enemy monsters could be eliminated one by one.

Now, let's talk about Time Bandit the monster that played a key role in this victory.

I placed it in the backline because it is a magic attacker and can attack from any position. From the backline its magic attack kept hitting enemy units every round which helped me secure a great win.

If I briefly talk about its stats, Time Bandit is an 8 mana monster card with 7 health, 1 speed and 1 magic attack. What makes this card valuable is its magic attack because it directly damages health. Armor is not a problem for magic attacks and in this ruleset armor was already useless.

What do you think about this monster card? Do you have it in your deck? Will be glad to read your thoughts in the comment section.
