Healthy Recipe - Boiled Yam And Vegetable Sauce

Happy new week guys, the last day of the month. I'd welcome you all to my food blog, my name is mistural and today I made a tasty and healthful boiling yam and vegetable sauce that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Adding some finely sliced Ugu leaf (vegetable) to your recipe, on the other hand, helps to boost the nutritional content; it also nourishes the body. Furthermore, they are high in dietary fiber, which aids in free digestive flow, and are high in vitamins and minerals.

Yam is mostly farmed in Africa, with Nigeria being the top producer and exporter. Yams and sweet potatoes are both members of the Dioscoreae family. They are a starchy vegetable tuber and a significant source of energy.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tuber Of Yam
  • Vegetable (Ugu Leaf)
  • Onions

  • Eggs

  • Red Pepper (Blended)

  • Maggi and Salt

Step 1: Cut the yam to your preferred shapes and sizes, place it in a clean pot, add hot water and sliced onions then cook for 30 minutes.


Step 2: While waiting for the yam to cook, slice and wash the vegetable and onions, then get another clean pot, add the vegetables and place on medium heat.


Step 3: Add the blended red pepper and maggi to taste.


Step 4: Break the eggs and beat it, add a pinch of salt then pour the egg mixture to the sauce


Step 5: Finally, add another sliced onions, add salt to taste and cook for 10 minutes.


Turn off the heat, bring out the boiled Yam and serve with the vegetable saucy, combined with cold drink or wine and enjoy and don’t forget to share with your neighbors 😁
