Hello everyone, my name is Mistural, and I'd like to welcome you to my food blog. I'm going to create a unique dish today: home-made akara) with custard. It's one of my all-time favorite dishes. This time, I'm going to do something a little different. This is going to be fantastic.

Akara (Yoruba language) is a fried bean cake. Beans are an extremely important part of Nigerian and West African diets. So, to tell you the truth, the akara I showcased in this post was just the third or fourth time I'd ever made akara.

One of the most popular recent trendy meals on the planet is home produced Akara (beans cake) with custard. It is valued by millions of people every day. It's simple, quick, and delicious.

Akara and custard is a common breakfast in Nigerian. It's vegetarian or vegan, tasty, and simple to make. Allow me to demonstrate how to make the best akara recipe, which is both fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. We'll need a few ingredients to get started with this recipe. With only 5 ingredients and seven steps, you can make your own akara (beans cake) with custard at home. Here's how you can make it happen.

INGREDIENTS

  • Beans

  • Bell Pepper

  • Scotch Bonnet,

  • Onions

  • Vegetable Oil (To Fry)

  • Salt and Maggi.

Step 1: The first thing is to wash and peel the beans.

Step 2: Combine the peeled beans, scotch bonnet, bell pepper, and onion in a blender and blend to a smooth paste. It's critical not to use too much water when blending because you want a thick paste for the akara, so use as little water as possible.

Step 3: A small frying pan… pour the vegetable oil and preheat for some minutes.. now add the sliced onions, salt and maggi to the beans paste and mix together. Then gently scoop in the beans paste and deep fry. When a side is done flip to the other side and deep fry again.

Step 4: When done with frying… remove from the oil and put it on a small basket to remove excess oil. Make the custard with milk, serve and enjoy with the Akara (beans cake)

Now serve and enjoy, make sure you serve with the custard (recommended).. enjoy and don’t forget to share with your neighbors 😁
