A soft meal for my family.

Happy new year to you all on hive.

I hope we all had fun during the holidays with family and friends?

I went to my mother-in-law's place with my kids on boxing day. On getting there, I discovered that there was nothing in the house prepared because my in-laws were not around. So I decided to prepare something small to deal with the
hunger in my stomach. I wanted to eat something different from what I ate on Christmas day, so I began rummaging the kitchen for baking items.

These are the items I used to prepare the meat pie

Flour
Baking powder
Butter
Nut Meg
Egg
Milk flavour
Meat
Carrot
Irish potatoes
Green peas

Procedure

I grated the nut meg and added it to the flour, I also mixed all the necessary ingredients and began mixing the dough while I cooked the meat on medium heat. When the meat was cooked, I also stir fried the veggies that I would be using to give the meat pie a unique taste.

The pictures below are images of the ingredients and preparation.

I was not having my baking instruments with me so I decided to use what is around me.

You can see the bottle and the kettle cover, I use the bottle to roll and the kettle cover to cut the size of my meat pie.

I also used a fork to imprint a design on the meat pie.

This is the finished product. By the time my in-laws came back, they were treated to the delicious meat pie I made. They were all so happy and we all stepped it down with some 5 alive juice.

I am glad I could put a smile on their faces. Seeing them happy, made me happy as well.

Thank you all for reading. Hope you also did something for your loved ones.

First time posting here.

Hi @elizabethosagie , great recipe. Could you please include the quantities of ingredients?

And the cover photo should be of the food, not of you.

Thank you
