Once again, I'm here with cricket highlights of the Men's T20 World Cup. Let's begin.

India Wins T20 World Cup 2026: Match Highlights

Congratulations to all Indian fans on this incredible victory!🏆

The Indian cricket team played excellent cricket throughout the tournament and truly deserved to win the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. This is a proud moment for Indian cricket and its passionate supporters around the world.
India beat New Zealand by 96 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This is India's third T20 World Cup trophy. They won before in 2007 and 2024. India is now the first team to win the World Cup two times in a row. They are also the first team to win it in their own country.

Final Score:

• India: 255/5 in 20 overs
• New Zealand: 159 all out in 19 overs

Match Highlights

New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first. But this was a big mistake!

India's Big Score

Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson opened for India. They played incredibly well. Abhishek scored a half-century in just 18 balls. This is the fastest fifty ever in T20 World Cup history! He made 52 runs from only 21 balls.
Sanju Samson played beautifully and scored 89 runs from 46 balls. Together, they scored 98 runs for the first wicket. In the first six overs, they made 92 runs. This is the highest powerplay score ever in a T20 World Cup.
After Abhishek got out, Ishan Kishan came to bat. He and Samson played well together. They added 105 runs. Kishan scored 54 runs from 25 balls. India was looking very strong.
Then James Neesham bowled a great over. He got three wickets very quickly. He dismissed Samson, Kishan, and Captain Suryakumar Yadav. India went from 203/2 to 204/4.
But Shivam Dube came and hit big shots. In the last over, he scored 24 runs with three fours and two sixes. India finished with 255 runs. This is the highest score ever in a T20 World Cup final!
India hit 19 fours and 18 sixes. They scored 184 runs just from boundaries!

New Zealand Tries to Chase

New Zealand needed 256 runs to win. This was a very big target.
Tim Seifert started well. He scored a half-century in 23 balls and made 52 runs total. Finn Allen got out early for only 9 runs.
Axar Patel bowled well and got two important wickets. He dismissed Allen and Glenn Phillips. New Zealand was in trouble.
Captain Mitchell Santner (43 runs) and Daryl Mitchell tried to fight back. They added 52 runs together. But once they got out, New Zealand's batting collapsed.
Jasprit Bumrah was amazing! He took 4 wickets and gave only 15 runs in his four overs. He became the first bowler ever to take four wickets in a T20 World Cup final. His bowling was too good. Nobody could play him.
Axar Patel also bowled well and took 3 wickets for 27 runs.
New Zealand was all out for 159 runs in 19 overs. They lost by 96 runs.

Best Player of the Match: Jasprit Bumrah (4 wickets for 15 runs)
Best Player of the Tournament: Sanju Samson (321 runs in five matches)

Big Celebration

The energy in the stadium was impossible to ignore. With 86,000 fans cheering loudly, the atmosphere was unforgettable. When India secured the victory, the happiness of the supporters showed how special this moment was for the whole nation.
Last year, India lost the ODI World Cup final at this same stadium. But Today, they won the T20 World Cup at home! It was a perfect ending to an amazing tournament.
India is now the T20 champion of the Cricketing World!
