Community Alert - "Hive Naija On A Big Move"
Hey! You found your way here, know what that means? You're about to witness the start of something great for a community that has been thriving on Hive and I mean, a fresh and better start of the Hive Naija community.
But before everything else, do well to follow these few steps.

We'll try to keep this as short as possible so we get the important points and move on quickly to start making the changes we plan to have on the blockchain as a community.
Community Migration
Some of you may have been aware about this already but for more awareness, The Hive Naija has been moved. The former community name was changed to "Speak Peace" to remove any form of confusion. The reason for this changes is in the management decision after considering some setbacks that the former community have.
So hence forth, we are to grow the Hive Naija community and to start.
- Subscribe to the community here if you haven't yet.
- All posts should be shared in this new community.
- The @hive-naija weekly prompt will continue in this new community.
- The rules and description have been updated, do check them out.
You might have noticed already, the community has new management (new Moderators) who volunteered to help grow the community with their efforts put together so yes, we are ready to serve.
Hive Naija Discord Revamp
The Hive Naija discord channel has been inactive for a long time but that is changing as a lot of things have been put in place since the new Mods volunteered to also do something about the dying channel. What have we got for you there?
- General chats and voice hangouts
- Giveaways (coming soon, things are being put in place for this)
- My eyes Your sight (more would be shared about this on the channel)
- Post promotion, ideas and feedbacks and more...
What do you need to do to be part of all this? It's simple
- Join the discord channel here
- Introduce yourself in the #introduce-yourself room
- You will get a role that will give you access to all the rooms for the activities we have planned out.
Utilizing LeoThreads For The Community
Leothreads is a popular and progressive initiative on Hive as it has succeeded in bringing many communities together, not in finance but in what the Hive Blockchain is about... General Blogging but this time easier and more fun, microblogging. This is why Hive naija will be making great use of it to bring more traffic to the community... What's the plan? We want to make our tags trend.
- Our main tags are #hivenaija and #pidgin
- There will be Threads hangouts on weekends
- Weekly prompt entries will have to use Threads for validation.
Delegation And Curation Trail
We are starting afresh and some persons have showed support in delegation and joining the curation trail. Your delegations, and support to the curation trail will be very much appreciated and a show that you are for the growth of this community.

Taking naija to another realm of life is what you people just did. There may be reasons for giving the name "speak peace", but I think the reasons as you have said is best known to you guys. Would there be a way to recognize this community as naija community?

POWER MOVES [Hive- Nija] kudos to the organizers of this great initiative.
I humbly suggest, we leave it at English, I guess there's no need for #pidgin, because we want to have international audience. Even our closet neighbors (country) struggle with Nija pidgin. My opinion though.

Pidgin is part of our identity in Nigeria. There's no place else we'd flourish with it, considering the international space, and so Hive Naija's perspective is to facilitate it. After all, we're trying to share our cultures and experiences with one another.
