This month is the holiest month of our Hindu culture and it's going to end tomorrow on the full moon day, known as Kartika Purnima. We also celebrate the Boita Bandana festival tomorrow, and people are going to sail miniature boats in memory of our rich heritage of maritime trading dating back to 3rd century BC.
Our ladies group have been doing the Sankirtana since last four days and tomorrow is the final day, I will try to capture some records and post it tomorrow. The entire month, our temple priest make beautiful art in front of the sacred Tulasi (the holy basil) plant, considered as an avatar of Goddess Lakshmi, and thus very close to Lord Vishnu. I have written about this occasion earlier as well, let me present you some of these beautiful arts of this year, as part of this post :
All these arts are made with Rangoli and doing this form of art needs expertise, which most of our ladies have, as they put these at our homes in festive occasions. And this month is a full vegan month, setting the right spirit to devote ourselves to God and promise ourselves to do good Karma. As per our religious belief, the Karma decides our destiny, and all these religious rituals have set the right principles, to live a happy and blissful life by doing good Karma. That is the reason, many people from many parts of the world quit their materialistic life and come and stay in Vrindavan, about which I have written few posts. The entire city is a vegan city.
Today, we also had a Prasad Sevan at the temple premise, that was provided by one of our esteemed member, in honor of his mother's death anniversary.
It's considered to be a blessings to get a chance to be part of such functions and enjoy the delicious lunch - the complee vegan food cooked at the temple tastes very different, and we believe that's because of God's grace.
The esteemed person serving himself, we all laid our helping hand, to distribute and share the load.
Lot's of planning going on for tomorrow, I will try to capture some best moments and post them. These rituals inspires us for a better living, by dedicating ourselves to follow the paths of truth. Do you believe in Karma ?

WIsh you a blissful Kartik Purnima Sir. I thoroughly enjoyed the arts, it was all perfect and the ladies must have been seasoned artists enriched through experiences.
Odisha temple architecture is unique and its sophistication can beat any other froms in India. Thanks to Somavamsi dynasty and Ganga Dynasty for investing a lot in the temple architecture of Odisha.
"Mandir Bhoga/Prasad" or eating at Madira premises is altogether a different experience and its ambiance is completely different from others.
Thank You.
