Freshly Cooked Fish Cooked in Tamarind Soup

Happy Wednesday lovely and handsome hivers of this wonderful community @asean.hive. I need to set the alarm by 3 pm because hubby needs to leave for work. Five days waiting before he comes home again. And while hubby is on his day off he caught us fresh fish to add stock on our fridge. Yesterday he already bought us groceries such as veggies, rice and necisitties. But he won't stop until he catches fresh fish. Living in this water world seemed to be annoying because of the cruel situation many of us experience. But we need to see the advantage and the abundant blessing that it may offer to us. And here are some of the fish that my husband caught, Im going to share the simple but delicious recipe that I cooked yesterday for them.

First hubby cut the fins then it's my job to remove the scales and intestine. Because it's big I cut them into two. And here are the ingredients needed

2 medium tomatoes
1 medium onion
A piece of ginger
Tamarind powder or 150 grams of real tamarind
2 cups of water
1 and 1/2 tablespoon of fish sauce
Seasoning
Comote or Kang Kong leaves
2 piece of long green chili

Procedure

Wash and cut the ingredients needed, in a caserole put the water, onion, tomatoes, ginger let it boil. After it boils add the fish, green chili, seasoning and fish sauce again let it simmer. Add the tamarind powder according to desire. I'm using 25 grams of tamarind powder and I add the half of it. For the final touches add the Camote leaves let it simmer and now you're done.

Wow! healthy recipe! Here in Cebu we call this isda sa bato. I think this is Molmol or katambak. If this is Molmol we make inun-unan.
