Indian is known for various delicies. There are many restaurants, food court around the city that serves different cuisines. However, ask any of the Indian or a local person, and they will direct you to the roadside eateries. Street food, from Delhi’s paranthe wali gali to Indore’s chatori gali, is known for its different delectability. The best place to enjoy a quick meal or snack is from a humble street vendor or cart. In India they can be tracked or seen right up there on every road corner. There are many eating option easily available at a cheaper rate than the luxuries restaurant. These street vendors not only carter to quick crave for food but also earning their livlihood. I shared a street food post few days ago. It was a great insight how these vendors operate with their quick munching snacks or other eating items.

One of the most common snacks or the most selling item that you can find on Indian roads are the Samosa. The craze for this is immense among the people. When it comes to samosas, a deep-fried Indian food that has been popular since ancient times. Samosa is Crispy, flaky, and kind of pastries filled with a traditional blend of delicately spiced potatoes.

It is believed that its first recipes were discovered in Arab culinary books between the 10th and 13th centuries.

However, this ideal tea partner at home or office or anywhere, has come a long way since its inception.

One of the hot selling potatoes cake have already made a name for itself in world stage. Even being a street food, people unable to resist it. So craze for this is so much that a couple in India have made it a brand. They called it Samosa King

It sounds like a fairy tale stories that: two professional individual have left their high paying jobs, sold their home to fund their food start up. The Bengaluru couple getting out of their comfort zone and started the food sart up "Samosa Singh". It was their love for Indias favourite snack that pushed them starting the venture. Their main aim was to make samosa a global brand like #pizza and #burger. After getting over all the initial hurdles and challenges they successfully able to create the brand in India. Now the street selling snacks item has many outlets across India, with annual turnover of staggering 45 CR INR. This is one of the dream effort put in by the duo and work relentlessly to make a common street food item a global brand.

With the changing time and lifestyle Samosa too have changed in recent time. It can be a snack, an appetiser, or a whole meal on its own. All of this is possible depending on how the samosa is made and served. There are many other forms of Samosa can be found on Indian roads like, Samosa Pav, Samosa Chat, Samosa Bhel Puri etc. The demand for samosa and making them available in differrnt forms makes this multi purpose otem. However the old traditional form still remain the first choice for majority of people.

At our place these are available for Rs.5 ($0.06). But as you move out of the remote and step into city and luxuries hotel, this items gets expensive. Recently, the visiting England cricket fans posted on X #twitter pictures of Samosa tray* expressing their delight for Samosa. The price of two samosas is approximately £0.48, which some say seems like a bargain in British eyes. This little incident highlights how the Street food getting popular all over the place and people enjoying the Indian delicies. From street shops to world stage, to profit making start-ups the journey of this local delicies is tremendous.

This my 6th entry for the Inleo writing prompt for the m/o March.

Sixth entry...
You're on a roll 😂

Samosa's are very popular now, even in my country, Nigeria, which is days apart from India.
Although it isn't a street food there, more like a party pastry or a snack in restaurants😂😂
