#MarketFriday From Phsar Leu 🥦🥬🌶🥭🍅 Siem Reap, Cambodia

Greetings everyone! My sister’s house is near Phsar Leu market. When I lived there two months ago I went there almost every day. That market has so many different vegetables, fruits and fresh fish because this Province has freshwater. Fruits and vegetables at this market are not expensive and very easy to buy, and I think it's a good place to share for a #marketfriday post.

The market is big and they sell all kinds of consumer goods and vegetables wholesale and retail. I like to buy vegetables here because they are vegetables and fruits from the villagers.

They sell every day, but they do not sell much.

I asked a vegetable seller, why you did not sell much, she replied that she bought vegetables from the neighboring villagers and they grow them as a family. And some vegetables they grow by their own.

These are sweet tamarind fruits and milk fruits. My little girl and I love eat them very much.

These are buffalo meat strips that sellers are drying in the sun to sell. 1 kilo of dried meat is $15.00 USD.

This place sells four to five snacks, soy milk and other drinks.

These are palm fruits. The people put them near the road to sell. Normally one fruit has three seeds or two seeds for a small fruit. In the countryside, four seeds are 25 cents but for the city two seeds are 25 cents.

The people in our country like to eat its seeds fresh and use its seeds in desserts. For the young fruits, we slice it thinly, take it to make curry and other dishes. I love other thing about these fruits. This fruit is very nice and delicious with all we do.

These are frogs, they are cleaned and ready. The people like to fry them with ginger or spicy fried with chili and other things.

It's nice how you chose to buy some vegetables at that market so you could support local farmers and vendors.

Yes, our family only eat vegetables, fruits, beans, and more. My family don’t eat meat because we are vegan. Have a good day.

That is an interesting to see traditional market. There are many green vegetables and I was amazed by the buffalo meats, the buffallo meats are rare in Bekasi the town where I live.

People in the countryside like to raise buffaloes for plowing and using them to carry heavy loads. Dried buffalo meat is available in some provinces because our people like to eat beef more than buffalo meat. Thank you for your interesting my post. Have a nice day.

Oh cool! Haven't heard of these before. We don't have them in the U.S.

I love how they cut the rind off the pineapple 🍍

I have heard from Cambodians living in America that they have these fruits, but they are expensive. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you have a great day.

Wow, there are so many merchants and merchandise. I like it when I have to buy kitchen ingredients. This morning I went to the market to buy vegetables and catfish. very different market there and here because there is very neat merchandise. here scattered you will find neat merchandise if it's in a supermarket not a market

The traditional market is different from the supermarket, but I prefer to go to the traditional market because it is cheaper. And in our country, this kind of market is very rich. Thank you for your feedback.

It's almost the same way as selling vegetables at my place. Do Cambodia and Aceh have a brotherly relationship?

Hi hi SreyPov wow.. such a nice market to visit. The first time I see cleaned and fresh frogs... The type of fruits sold here are different from the Malaysian market. Many here, I have not seen before.. 😀 nice tour of the market.
