[ENG/PT-BR] End of year festivities: It doesn't matter where we are, but who we are with!

With the end of the year approaching, December always returns us to the period of many festivals, spread across the globe, where each person celebrates in the way their religion or beliefs that form the individual guide them to do. It's a very cool time, where we celebrate Christmas and New Year, much better, when mainly we remember the real reason (in the case of Christmas) that with my religion we celebrate the birth of Christ.

I will not go into the subject on the religion side, that is not the objective of my post, we know that the subject is always tense and generates a lot of controversy, but what I would like to share is my plans for the holidays that we will have. As said, every end of the year we have a real change of days, with Christmas and New Year very close and being holidays, we can take advantage of it to rest, travel or do something.

Of course, it's different for me, I don't usually work every day, as I work with a labor contract, my boss doesn't release me to do a “golden week”, but until we are well, at Christmas I will have 3 days off, being 23rd, 24th and Monday the 25th and then again, three more days, being the 30th, 31st and the first of January of a new year, 2024 which I hope will be better, less suffering like 2023 was. The good thing is that I will be able to enjoy these days in my own way, the way I have for a few years now.

As I'm the type who doesn't travel much, what I'll probably do at Christmas is get together with my family or my wife's family, to have Christmas dinner, of course they'll have a good barbecue and lots of food beforehand. It's usually during these end-of-year parties that I tend to go a little overboard with food and drinks, as I tend to take it very easy during the year, on weekends, when it comes to alcoholic beverages and derivatives. Sometimes, I gather my family at a friend's house too and so we all spend time together enjoying this moment.

It's always good to see the fireworks and celebrate this date accompanied by those we love, our friends and family, I'm a homebody and I think all of this is great, being able to be close to those you love is a privilege, after all, we don't know what the outcome will be like. next year, right? And just as good things happen, bad things can happen too. For the New Year, a lot of people like to go to nightclubs or shows, but that's not really my thing, although that has changed in recent years.

My wife is much more into parties than I am, so to maintain peace in the relationship (if we can say so) we agreed that at Christmas things would be calmer as a family and in the New Year we could always try something new, something different, of course. that for this I imposed some conditions, such as, for example, that the places are safe and that our children can go, because I really don't give up on spending these commemorative dates with them.

Anyway, I'm nothing extraordinary when it comes to plans for commemorative dates, after all, I can say that for me the place doesn't matter, but rather the people with whom I'll spend them. Therefore, even if I have to spend Christmas and New Year at home, with a good apartment barbecue, a cold beer and my family, for me it would be the greatest program I could wish for and carry out.

Com o final do ano chegando, dezembro sempre nos retorna ao período de muitas festas, espalhadas pelo globo, onde cada um realiza a sua comemoração da forma como sua religião ou crenças que formam o individuo o orientam a realizar. É uma época muito legal, onde comemoramos o natal e ano novo, muito melhor, quando principalmente lembramos do verdadeiro motivo (no caso do natal) que com a minha religião comemoramos o nascimento de cristo.

Não entrarei no assunto puxando pelo lado de religião, não é esse o objetivo da minha postagem, sabemos que assunto é sempre tenso e gera muita polêmica, mas, o que gostaria de compartilhar é os meus planos para os feriados que teremos. Como dito, todo final de ano temos uma verdadeira emenda de dias, com o natal e ano novo bem próximos e sendo feriados, podemos aproveitar para descansar, viajar ou fazer alguma coisa.

Claro que para mim é diferente, eu não costumo emendar todos os dias, como trabalho com vínculo trabalhista, meu patrão não me liberar para fazer uma “semana de ouro”, mas até que estamos bem, no natal terei 3 dias de folga, sendo 23, 24 e a segunda-feira 25 e depois novamente, mais três dias, sendo 30, 31 e primeiro de janeiro de um novo ano, 2024 que espero que seja melhor, menos sofrido como foi esse de 2023. O bom é que poderei aproveitar da minha maneira estes dias, da forma como já faço ha alguns anos.

Como sou do tipo que não viaja muito, o que provavelmente farei no natal é me reunir com a minha família ou a família da minha esposa, para realizar a ceia de natal, claro que antes têm um bom churrasco e muita comida. Geralmente é nestas festas de final de ano que costumo exagerar um pouco com a comida e bebidas, já que costumo pegar bem leve durante o ano, nos finais de semana, quando o assunto é relacionada com bebidas alcoólicas e derivados. Às vezes, reúno a minha família na casa de algum casal de amigos também e assim passamos todos juntos aproveitando este momento.

Sempre bom ver os fogos e realizar a passagem dessa data acompanhados de quem amamos, de nossos amigos e familiares, sou bem caseiro e acho tudo isso o máximo, poder estar perto de quem se ama é um privilégio, afinal, não sabemos como será o próximo ano não é? E assim como coisas boas acontecem, as ruins também podem acontecer. Para o ano novo, muita gente gosta de ir em boates ou shows, mas, essa não é muito a minha praia, apesar de que isso têm mudado nos últimos anos.

Minha esposa é bem mais de festas do que eu, então para manter a paz no relacionamento (se assim podemos dizer) combinamos de que no natal as coisas seriam mais tranquilas em família e no ano novo poderíamos sempre tentar algo novo, algo diferente, claro que para isso impus algumas condições, como, por exemplo, que os lugares tenham segurança e que nossos filhos possam ir, porque não abro mão mesmo de passar essas datas comemorativas com eles.

Enfim, não sou nada extraordinário na questão de planos para as datas comemorativas, no fim das contas, posso dizer que para mim o lugar não importa e sim, as pessoas com quem passarei as mesmas. Com isso, mesmo que tenha que passar o natal e o ano novo em casa, com um bom churrasco de apartamento, uma cerveja gelada e minha família, para mim já seria o maior dos programas que poderia desejar e realizar.
