These beautiful works of art can be seen whenever you go to Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

These were done by the students in each department in the University to avoid the walls from being vandalized. I love this painting the most since it depicts the happiness of a child whenever they go to those exciting places drawn on the backdrop. Those are the locations that can be seen within Negros Island. Around the island is filled with beautiful resorts that you can choose from, with spectacular sand bars. They're available the whole year round especially during summertime where the whole family can spend quality time together.

Just recently, we had a staycation in one of the resorts where we stayed for 2 days. We even managed to have a 2 hours island hopping after swimming!

This portrays the different fruits that can be seen in Negros as well. Bananas tend to thrive well in hot places along the seacoast hence we get enough supply from the island itself.
There are hacienderos who converted their sugar plantations into fruit bearing trees such as Durian, mangosteen, mangoes, rambutan, pineapple, etc. so we no longer have to import a lot from Mindanao and sold them for higher price. Now, we can buy fruits per kilo at a lower price. Being self-sufficient is beneficial and advantageous to the community as a whole.

That's my grandson hovering over that mural with the saying imprinted "Defend Negros Island" in the form of banana tree with the leaves as the facial structure and the young banana bloom as the child. In my own opinion, the message is for us to take care of our siblings while they're still on the developing stage to be good citizens one day.

Negros Island is 90% Catholic since it was one of the places conquered by the Spanish conquistadors during the Spanish colonization Era which lasted for more 300 years! That also explains why there are many hacienderos with vast sugarlands having Spanish lineage.

This is my entry for this week's challenge and I hope you like it guys. Thanks to sir @JustinParke for initiating this challenge.

Once again, thank you guys for dropping by my page. Have a nice day ahead!

That is true ate, in order to avoid vanadalizing the walls, it is better to put any unique arts. I amazed of the arts you shared to us here specially the Mother Mary arts. All of it are very difficult to drawn but the artisans are very talented.
