S.M.A.R.T. Goals .:. Recap of Hive Humpday Hangout Ep.10 (2023-12-27: Live Show recording)
The last #HHHLive show for 2023 is behind us and if you were attending it, you made history... 🙂 It was a 10th edition and we were talking about New Year's resolutions and #MyHiveGoals (I mean, not just mine, but everyone's 🙂)... As I said in the announcement post, that is my second favorite topic, just behind the HivePower talks!
We are in the holiday season and it has been quiet recently on HIVE, but also around different Discord channels... Everyone is busy eating and drinking... 🙂 We had our #HHHLive family in the show, and we were 11 in total, discussing these important topics! Not many were available to share their thoughts in voice, but we had a lot of fun in the chat section!

The first part of the show was more like warming up for the topic, checking out our 2023 NY resolutions and how we did... To be honest, I try to avoid these resolutions because of my previous experience of failing them... 😃
After that, I shared the main principles of creating S.M.A.R.T. Goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound), going one by one on those characteristics... To get a better picture, we can compare them with NY resolutions and we can notice the obvious difference between the two... We discuss that too!
In the second part of the show, participants shared their views about goals and resolutions and some have shared their goals for 2024! Personally, I'm still not 100% sure about my goals for the next year, but I know that one of my goals will be connected with growing my HivePower! For me, that's the most important thing on HIVE!

When we ended the show, everyone was aware of the post-after-show hangout as nobody was leaving... hehehe... So, we had almost an additional hour chatting about different topics suggested by participants... and, I got some great ideas for the future topics for the show! Thanks for that too!

It was cool to hear people's 2024 goals.
I'm in the same boat with you, that I'm not completely sure of my goals yet, but growing Hive power is on my mind too. Also I want to keep on playing Splinterlands and other upcoming games on the HIVE blockchain.
At the beginning of this year, I added these "not-that-important" gaming goals for GLX and the Rising Star game just to keep myself motivated to play them during the year... But, despite not having a Splinterlands goal, I continued playing it... 😃

It sounds like a fairly productive show. I think you brang up some good points. I think my goals were fine as they tended to last most of the year and I think it's fine to extend goals if you reach them early. I think it does put a bit less pressure after you figure out what is right for yourself.
I wouldn't use "pressure", but more the word CHALLENGE... :) It sounds more proper for it and more positive... :)

The time is really tight for me, since I arrive home from work at 6 pm, so we have lunch at that time, but I try to listen live whenever I can. Probably in one of the next gatherings I will click the mic button and let my voice be heard🙂
