While shopping remember to buy only what you need and not what you want, budget is of necessity .

Hello Hive

Footwear's are my newest addictions.

Do you know that the first thing people notice about you are your feet. Maybe this isn't about me alone but the Moment I sight someone approaching me, my eyes goes first to their feet and than a quick scan of their outfits and to be honest most times I seem to address people by the outfit.
Just like they have pointed out that they way you are dressed is the way you will be addressed.

When I had no clothes to wear back in the days, I have often cleaned the few in my wardrobes and made sure I appear as neat as possible, but that soon became a history as I learnt sewing and now make as many clothes for myself that I have more than enough to even gift out now.

The next challenge now was having quality shoes to compliment my outfits. Lucky enough I got some heels for birthday gifts on several occasions but they were beginning to hurt my feet as I soon forgot how to enjoy wearing heels like other ladies.

Flipflop, flat shoes and sneakers became my latest fascination.
They are comfortable and relieves me of so much stress while walking.

Take a look at these selections I made.

First

Second

Third

IMG_20230707_103515_033.jpg

They are not brand new shoes but really good enough for me.
Imagine that I could buy any of these as brand-new shoes been sold at $26/ 20k naira each but rather chose to go for these fairly used ones at $7.8/6k naira

Four pairs of foot wears were appealing to me, take a look at this fourth pair.

Fourth

But wouldn't this be too much of a spending way above my budgets.
I like to buy things once and for all. If for instance am able to get these four pairs, I may end up not buying shoes for the next 4years.
These aren't things we must buy everyday and somehow any of these selections will match any outfit I wear.

Now I found just one more pair of quality and fancy one.

It is a male shoes, I thought about buying this for my brother. He is an undergraduate and needs some worthy shoes to school.

IMG_20230707_101449_864.jpg

The budget was getting overwhelmed and I had to drop some.

My brothers shoe was more important to me for the moment, the young mad needs a shoe or risk missing lectures for not having a good sole beneath his feet. The store owner is a kind one and offered that I can pay in instalments.

There were also other ranges of footwear in the store that was my exact foot size, then it occurred to us that people with smaller foots are lucky to have as many foot wears that really fits them more than individuals with large size of feet.

Look at this glittery embellished shoe, looks so divine 💖🌺💕

IMG_20230707_101213_654.jpg

So how many footwear's do you have
And how many foot wear pairs do you think that an individual should have?

Would you buy anything in instalments?

That is what my market Friday experience looks like, I visited this store for fairy used items and you can see some bounty of clothes shoes and bags.
Mostly affordable and durable products.

Look at this short jean dress so lovely and will look perfect on any of my shoe collection but you dare not ask for price to avoid the risk of owing more debts here.

I could go on gushing over and sampling all the lovely items here but While shopping, remember to buy only what you need and not what you want.

I prefer cream to white, white seems too bright for me 😀

Lol, it's very noticeable and many eyes tend to be on you when you wear it. But I like wearing it nonetheless 😊

All the sneakers look cool and comfortable to wear. Since we buy them every once in awhile, I think it will be okay to spend on quality as this will allow it to last long.

I have to admit, I have a thing for shoes, but, I have great control. I especially love girly shoes, I only use runners/trainers for running or the gym, so I have two pair and rotate them.

I used to buy more than I needed, but, I don't do that now. If I need them, I will buy them, but more is not necessarily better. I donated to a women's shelter because I had shoes I hadn't worn (ever) and had bought them two years ago. So now I buy only what I know I will wear.

Would I buy in installments? We have what you call lay-a-way here. They hold your things until you finish paying for them. You pay in installments, so it sounds like the same unless you take yours home before paying it off. When I was in school, it was the only way I could afford it. So yes! I have done it and it is a good idea, as long as you aren't overbuying it.

I love that jean dress! I have a couple of them, and they are super comfortable and cute! Thanks again!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
