The existing bad words in adults and children
Bad words is something that is frequently seen today in both children and adults, people use them anywhere, either to refer to something or to insult someone, but what problem is there in saying bad words? In the case of children, the frequent use of such words in the classroom is seen with great concern, they address their classmates and even teachers with obscene language.
But why do school-age children have this vocabulary?
There are many reasons that influence, the first one could be said is that if at home, mom, dad or another adult expresses themselves with vulgar language, the children will imitate such behavior and express themselves in the same way, since they will see that it is something so common at home. that they will see nothing wrong with saying these words. Another reason why most young people or children use swear words is that they could be frustrated or simply to get the attention of those around them.
Now I can assure you as a teacher that if you gave me a coin for every swear word I hear in my classroom, I would get rich quick. Since it is very common to hear these bad words in the conversations of young people and adults. For me, this topic is of the utmost importance since what our way of speaking reflects a lot on the person we are, if you always use obscene language when speaking, it is simply a person who does not have a formed personality.
How can we help our children and young people not to say bad words
Set an example, if your child hears you swearing together with your friends and having obscene language every day, he will copy your example, but if otherwise, you try as little as possible to have vulgar speech, your child will see it and copy your example.
You have to teach them to express themselves well, correcting them every time they say a bad word, and congratulate them as they improve. We must teach our young people that the way they speak determines who their friends are and how much they will respect them, whether at school, at work, or anywhere.
The movies, video games and songs they choose will greatly influence their vocabulary since there are many songs and games that only encourage vulgar language, for this reason as adults we must supervise the games and songs our children listen to. The truth is that this type of obscene language is everywhere, but if we instill a good vocabulary in our home, surely our children will avoid having obscene language
