I HAD A FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE WITH BABYSITTING

Today I went for another data correction at a JAMB (Joint admission and matriculation board) office but that is not how I even started my day. Unlike normal, my day started so early because I had to babysit a little fine girl who just refused to fall asleep. I was not alone to begin with but somehow I ended up alone with her because she was just not ready to let anyone rest. You know, I was literally scared when I noticed she wasn't going to fall asleep anytime soon because I knew I had an appointment early in the morning.

It was already 8pm, few minutes after we gave her food. We played with her and sang for her as we normally do so she can fall asleep but somehow, she kept on waking up once we put her on her bed. It continued for a long time and I can say due to the fact we had no power supply last night, she felt really uncomfortable. We had to go outside the house just to make sure she gets good ventilation because all her body was socked with sweat.

It was already three hours after she ate and now she was already feeling hungry again, we had to feed her and also change her diaper. During those three hours, she cried for almost two hours in total, at least she was not feeling hot. After feeding her again, we tried putting her to sleep so we can also get sleep for ourselves but the young lady was not interested at all, she just kept her eyes wild opened.

During this time, my sister was the one taking care of her because I was busy trying to publish my video content and also complete some of my hive zealy quest. I was distracted a few times by her cry so I was kinda slow in completing all of that but I did eventually. I had to leave some of them for the next day so I can assist my sister in putting the child to sleep.

It was already past 12 and this beautiful baby girl was still wide awake. At some point we had to just leave her alone to cry a little because even if we Carried her she was determined to just keep crying. She cried to a point when she managed to keep quiet a little and slept off for just few minutes, oh my! It was really frustrating to start my day that way but then due to the fact that she was just a child, we had to just keep trying to make her keep quiet because we've done everything we could to make sure she was not having any discomfort.

My sister was already feeling so tired that she just fell asleep on the couch and myself and I was still awake trying to get the baby to sleep but then I was already feeling tired and sleepy. I had to just carry her on my breast and kept patting her on her back and I didn't even noticed when I feel asleep and when I woke up I found the little baby girl sleeping night night, hehe. I was so happy and I quickly went to drop her on her bed and went to sleep. At that time, it was already few minutes to 4am.

I was sad that I won't get a good time to rest and I will also have to go late for the data correction. I woke up 8pm this morning which was supposed to be the time when I should be at the office. I quickly rushed to the bath room after dressing my bed and in thirty minutes time, I was done with everything at the house and I quickly rushed out. When I got to the office, I was so behind the queue and after a long time of waiting to be attended to, I was still not attended to because of poor network connection.

I will be going back there tomorrow and I hope I get a good rest this night and I also pray I get attended to tomorrow too. Until next time, stay AWESOME and JIGGY!!!
