Sunny Monday: June 12 2023

Another sunny day here and I remember back in April/May how we kept moaning about the cold and rain and now we have no rain at all.

Ok, it rained briefly on Sunday, but not enough to fill up my water butt even a little. I recon I have one more watering before my stores are out and then it’s a tap water.

Weather is definitely changing. There is no balance to it at all and everything seems very extreme. It’s either cold and raining for weeks/months or hot and no rain for weeks/months.

Similarly for us, humans it seems very tricky to keep that balance. Balanced diet, balanced work-life ratio, balanced relationships.

Me? I slacked a but with the reports for various reasons, but once work week starts again I seem to also get back on track.

That’s the only thing we can do… keep trying and keep showing up. Also forgiving ourselves when things don’t go how we planned them to go.

While I can’t fully enjoy the sunny weather like I used to due to the allergies, slowly they seem to diminish in force and I try to do a little gardening from time to time to see how my body will react to it.

After yesterday’s session I have a few new hives, but they’re much smaller than before. Hopefully in time they’ll disappear altogether.

One thing for sure - roses and Clematis do enjoy the sunny weather, so I captured a few during my lunchtime walk yesterday. I topped it up by a short walk/run in the evening.
