I finally landed on hive. Introductory post.

Greetings to you all on hive. It's such a joy to finally be here. My flight had been hanging on the air, searching for the perfect platform to land. I finally found it on hive.

Meet me

My name is Rita Jamiu and my username is @delightrita. I am happily married with two beautiful kids, a boy and a girl. I am a Nigerian from Akwa Ibom state ( land of promise). I am currently in my early thirties and I am an educator by profession.

How I came to know hive

I came to know hive through @beckyroyal. She is a friend and colleague who is always on her phone and proudly talking about hive and it's benefits. I became convinced that hive was a place to be and here I am at last.

Hive from the little I have researched, is a web 3 platform on Blockchain that creates connection and a learning atmosphere for those who are ready to learn. As a teacher, I am always ready to learn new things and meet new people.

Why I'm here

I am here to learn about things outside my country and place of residence. Joining hive will afford me that opportunity to gain new experience home and abroad. I will also form new relationships here through meeting new people here on the blockchain.

Hobbies

When I am not teaching, I love to cook, read , dance and travel. I am also a business woman dealing in Jewelry and fashion products. So it's usually a must for me to travel and make deliveries of fashion products to my clients. So far, I have travelled to twelve states in Nigeria. I am expectant of when I will travel to Canada or London. Cooking is one hobby I can't do without, even when I was not married, I preferred home made foods to eating out.

When I am not cooking then I am either reading books, listening to music or dancing. I love to dance. It's a relaxing exercise for me. Whenever I dance I feel lighter and my stress dissipates.

My interests

I am science inclined, having studied computer and integrated sciences in school. I graduated in year 2019 and I have been teaching ever since.

I am a straight forward person, I dislike dishonesty and cheating a lot. I don't really tolerate when people deliberately and consciously tell lies or try to dupe me. It hurts me a lot and so I can't stand it.

I love it when those I'm close to are sincere with me, irrespective of how I would feel. I understand that truth is bitter and I truly appreciate those who take out time to be truthful in their dealings with me.

****Future plans****

Now that I am here on hive, my plans are simple...to grow. I want to grow on the block chain by investing time, energy and financial resources. I want to contribute to this awesome platform that is changing lives all over.

I want to record outstanding growth success on the block chain and I do hope to reach out to others who are still camped in web2. Hive is truly the best platform to be right now.
