See the double white lines! The border between airside roads and live taxiways.
Never cross these lines. If you do, you're in serious trouble with airside operations.
A large fine is the result and instant dismissal.

Aircraft have right of way at all times. So we have to be vigilant when crossing taxiways and also driving along the rear of stand access roads, where aircraft approach the stand.

This picture shows how congested the stand can be with an aircraft approaching the stand with lots of equipment assembled. There is plenty of clearance as the equipment is within the bounds of the clearway. There are strict codes of conduct around the ramp. This is a dangerous area and you need to keep your eyes peeled at all times.

It can seem like there is nothing to stop you from crossing the taxiway but beware of blind corners and the 2.5 aircraft length rule. This is important due to the jet blast from aircraft engines. 😨
