A Spoonful of Luck

I was inspired to write this post in "very last 2022 minute" by our dear @tengolotodo , who tells in his post about a tradition he knows around New Year from his grandparents:
Inspiriert zu diesem Post in "allerletzter 2022 Minute" wurde ich von unserem lieben @tengolotodo , der in seinem Posting von einer Tradition erzählt, die er rund um Neujahr von seinen Großeltern kennt:

I remember my grandparents telling me that we should end the year the way that we intend to start the New Year.

I like the idea, I do not know it in this way from our Tradtition. And since blogging on Ecency is one of the things I really like to do, I will end the old year this way with a mini recipe post.
Der Gedanke gefällt mir, ich kenne es in dieser Art aus unserer Tradtition nicht. Und da das Bloggen auf Ecency ja tatsächlich zu den Dingen gehört, die ich sehr gerne mache, werde ich das alte Jahr nun also auf diese Weise beenden und zwar mit einem Mini Rezept Post.

"A Spoonful of Luck" This is a kind of lentil salad, which is served in our house shortly after midnight as the first little snack in the New Year. The ingredients are simple:
Canned brown lentils, leftover beef jerky, onion, salt, apple cider vinegar and pumpkin seed oil.
(You can, of course, prepare with other regional oil or vinegar).
"Ein Löffel Glück" Das ist eine Art Linsen Salat, der bei uns kurz nach Mitternacht als erster kleiner Snack im Neuen Jahr gereicht wird. Die Zutaten sind einfach:
Braune Linsen aus der Dose, Reste von Rindssuppenfleisch, Zwiebel, Salz, Apfelessig und Kürbiskernöl.
(Man kann natürlich auch mit anderen regionalem Öl oder Essig zubereiten)

It tastes best when left to infuse for several hours in the refrigerator. It should be only slightly acidic, so do not take too much vinegar.
Usually everyone gets a spoon and helps himself with it from the common bowl. Well, this year we are only three anyway, but we will probably distribute the happiness for each individual on small bowls, because with this virus that is circulating in our country is not to be spared.
Am besten schmeckt er, wenn wer mehrere Stunden im Kühlschrank ziehen kann. Er sollte nur leicht säuerlich sein, also nicht zuviel Essig nehmen.
Normalerweise bekommt jeder einen Löffel und bedient sich damit aus der gemeinsamen Schüssel. Nun dieses Jahr sind wir ohnehin nur zu Dritt, dennoch werde wir wohl das Glück für jeden einzelnen auf kleine Schüsselchen verteilen, denn mit diesem Virus, der bei uns kursiert ist nicht zu Spassen.

I've read from so many that this 2022 wasn't what they thought it would be and, well, I felt very much the same way about it.
Ich habe schon von so vielen gelesen, dass dieses 2022 nicht so war, wie sie es sich vorgestellt hatten und, tja, mir ging es damit sehr ähnlich.

Therefore, I found a statement of @dreemsteem in the Dreemport Discord so beautiful, in which she says: "It was exactly as it should have been and it has certainly brought us new insights and experiences in many areas, so it must have been a good year.
Daher fand ich eine Aussage von @dreemsteem im Dreemport Discord so schön, in dem sie sinngemäß sagt: Es war genau so, wie es hatte sein sollen und es hat uns bestimmt in vielen Bereichen auch neue Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen gebracht, also muss es einfach auch ein gutes Jahr gewesen sein.

In this sense, dear ones, make peace with whatever just happens in the now and I look forward to seeing you all fresh and cheerful in the New Year again!
In diesem Sinne, ihr Lieben, schließt Frieden mit was auch immer gerade im Jetzt los ist und ich freue mich, euch alle frisch und munter im Neuen Jahr wiederzusehen!

Here in Austria, the "Pummerin" the bell of St. Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna will ring in the New Year in about 1 1/2 hours.
Hier in Österreich wird die "Pummerin" die Glocke des StephansDoms in Wien in ungefährt 1 1/2 Stunden das Neue Jahr einläuften.
