Garden boomerangs and inverted gardening.

If you think that I will tell you about a new garden tool called a boomerang you are mistaken no we will talk about the boomerang that we throw trying to hit the target but not having reached the target the boomerang returns and painfully hits us on the head.

As for inverted gardening, it is not surprising, our whole world turned upside down some time ago and everything began to fall down.

I am not against inverted gardening in the case when I am rolling on my back lying on the garden that gave an abundant harvest, and I strive for this remembering some mistakes in gardening and vegetable gardening in order to find the consequences and causes and try not to make these mistakes in the future.

I remember how in the eighties and early nineties everything we planted grew and yielded good harvests in our garden and I don’t remember any big reasons for frustration except for the year when we didn’t have a garden its lease ended, and there was no way to renew it.

At that time we didn’t grow seedlings of tomatoes peppers eggplants and cucumbers we simply planted the seeds of these plants directly in the garden soil and watered them.

Then we didn’t use any fertilizers everything grew naturally without our intervention and yielded a harvest.

Later suddenly a lot of shops for gardeners appeared which didn’t exist before where you could buy enriched soil, peat cups and other gardening accessories that supposedly should have turned our gardens into a cornucopia, but here we see the same boomerang that I mentioned in the title of the post.

Yes, if you grow vegetable seedlings in peat cups and in soil enriched with biohumus the results are pleasing when I look at the strength of the stems but the harvest is not the same.

I assume that after planting seedlings in open ground, which is not as rich as the contents of the peat cup, the plants receive severe stress, which hurts the final result, which should be the harvest.

Agronomists may disagree with me, but I share my own observations, which may differ from their life experience.

I had something to compare with.

In essence, planting seedlings grown in enriched soil in poorer soil is comparable to transferring plants grown hydroponically to an underwater existence and vice versa the environment changes and these changes are stress.

I consider most of the newfangled technologies in gardening as a business move, the purpose of which is to capture the audience and increase profits due to the show-off that has always attracted gaping eyes in the crowd and we are ready to pay for it taking it at face value.

I will definitely test my theory by growing garden crops from seeds without growing seedlings and by growing seedlings in soil taken from the very bed where these seedlings will subsequently be planted.
