The Crossroad: How Prepared Are You?

The future belongs to those who prepare for it today

Have you ever found yourself in a crossroad where you don't know whether to continue pushing or just quit and go for something else? I bet a lot of us have felt this. And, it is never easy making a decision because we are uncertain. The power the future has over us.

We imagine, we dreem, but only our action matters and actions can only be determined by preparation. If we aren't prepared, there's a big percentage that things will get so bad. And, this is why I think that life isn't all rosy. Life dishes out the bad part of it to teach us... to prepare us for whatever the future may hold. Which is what our parents have done with us. They sometimes let us go into the world to learn, and then they listen to us when we talk about our experiences.

And, when the bad time comes or sneaks in... it always leaves us defenseless. But, only the ones who see and feel the need for hope rise again, which means we have not only received life lessons, but it has also made us stronger.

The future can't be prepared if our present is messed up because every minute that we get to reach each day counts as our future. The unknown is because no one knows what will happen the next minute. We prepare and sometimes let things flow, and whichever way we do things, if someone greater than us doesn't dispose of our proposition, then the job won't be done.

This is why the aforementioned quote has so much truth attached to it. I have sometimes told myself that I'll do this or that in the future because I don't have time to fix it in the present. But, the truth is, if I don't make whatever I am to do part of my present now, it won't be a big surprise if I don't get it in the future even after owning things I want.

...and this is why I am preparing and doing things now so that it/they won't be weird to me in the future because I hadn't just imagined them, but I have prepared for them and got them attached to my reality.

I have met people who say I will do this and that for my family, myself, or loved ones in the future, and I just chuckle when I hear it. You don't have to own it big before you do something for them. Little actions count. If you can do it when you have almost nothing, when something comes, it'll be easy to continue doing what you do with great increment and excitement.

However, I have also met other people who bring their imagination into reality by doing what they intend to do even when they hardly have enough for themselves.

I received a call some weeks ago about someone who died. He was someone I knew from childhood. He was always there and I felt really sad when I heard this. The last time I saw him was maybe three years ago, and the thoughts of things he could have done filled my heart. He was sick and didn't survive it.

... and this reminded me of countless times I was sick this year... almost close to death but lived, and I just can't help it. The fact that I lived while someone else died is just so... hmm. However, I have made up my mind to truly live life. Travel more and explore as many places as I can and also fill my heart with positivity.

Also, I have decided to take good care of myself more, especially health wise. But that doesn't mean I will forsake my care for others... no! Instead, I intend to make it greater. And that's not all because... this is not just a will-sort-of-word anymore, but I have started doing it, and it feels great!

I am prepared today to walk into my future and to continue doing things I have been doing and even doing them better because I am incredibly awesome, and I am rocking it!

Trust me, I support you on this one. We don't necessarily have to wait until everything is fine and rosy before we take care of our loved ones. These can be done at any point in our lives because we don't know tomorrow. Plus, if we don't do it with the little that we have, I doubt we do it when we have it big.

Yes, if we don't do it with the little we have, it'll be hard to do things for them when we have bigger things. Tha ls for stopping by #dreemer.

There is a saying "the future is now"the next 2 minutes is the future you have been patiently waiting for in order take action. A lot of people who procrastinate are those who have failed to understand the significance of the present and how important it is to plan for the future by taking action now.

Life is really unpredictable, which means we have to make every moment count.

Yes, we indeed need to realize that every moment counts as that moment you fail to grasp may have led to the future you dreem of.
