¿How does the Splinterlands marketplace work? Opportunity in the price drop of "Conclave Arcana" [ES-EN]

Si han estado siguiendo el mercado de “Splinterlands” y son operadores, o lo que llaman traders, en este caso de cartas que es en lo que se basa el mercado, deben de haber notado una caída significativa de los precios de diferentes cartas de la edición de “Conclave Arcana”, si lo vieron imagino que están pensando que esto es negativo, de que la tendencia ahora es bajista y que todo lo que hará es bajar de precio con respecto a esta edición, sin embargo, para mi representa una buena oportunidad y es por eso que, hoy quiero hacer un post diferente para explicarles como funciona el mercado y como ver las oportunidades que otros no pueden ver.
Si bien esto puede ser obvio para muchos otros jugadores, el caso es que los mas nuevos que vienen llegando no tienen toda la información, o sencillamente no saben como analizarlo, no tienen los detalles y esa es la labor de nosotros como creadores de contenido, informar y/o educar sobre esto, para que los mas nuevos que ingresen en el ecosistema estén realmente informados y logren tomar decisiones de acuerdo a un análisis que realicen con fundamentos y una logia detrás, así que, basándome en esto, hoy aprenderán a como analizar el mercado de “Splinterlands”, de forma fundamental y hasta técnica.
Así que, si quieres aprovechar estas oportunidades, quédate hasta el final de esta publicación porque de seguro aprenderás mucho sobre como funciona todo este ecosistema, en especial el mercado que es uno de los aspectos más les interesan a los nuevos jugadores.
Entendiendo la “Contracción del Mercado”
Como todos saben, o al menos la gran mayoría sacando a los mas nuevos, cuando se lanza una nueva edición en “Splinterlands”, esta siempre viene acompañada de una “Preventa”, una fase donde los mayores inversores, en su mayoría “Ballenas”, aquellos con mucho poder adquisitivo compren cientos y en algunos casos miles de “Packs” de dicho SET, esto con la intención de posicionarse temprano y aprovechar los bajos precios, promociones y bonos que conlleva a comprar ciertas cantidades. Esto lo hacen siempre los jugadores más veteranos, pero ¿Por qué lo hacen?
Sencillamente porque la idea en todo nuevo lanzamiento es posicionarse de primero, lo que les da la oportunidad de tener mejores precios de entrada, básicamente mas económico. Ahora bien, después de que ha pasado tiempo del lanzamiento de “Conclave Arcana”, algo que suele impulsar los precios, es cuando inician los “Conflictos”, el nuevo sistema de “Airdrops” que distribuyen cartas del tipo “Legendarias” para todos los jugadores que tengan tanto “Packs” como cartas de la misma edición, por lo que, si quieres ganar puntos que te ayudaran a ganar estas cartas, debes colocar en una especie de ”Staking” los activos antes comentados, lo que impulsa la demanda.
Ya teniendo las razones claras de como se puede aprovechar el mercado, básicamente siendo los primeros en las preventas e impulsar la demanda con los “Conflictos”, tenemos la siguiente pregunta:
¿Porque se contrae el mercado, y que causa los retrocesos en los precios de las cartas?
Como pueden ver en la imagen, los precios de prácticamente de todas las cartas han hecho un gran retroceso, bajando de un 98% a 99% en todas las rarezas y esto es porque los principales actores que compraron temprano estos activos, quieren un retorno de su inversión por los miles o cientos de packs que adquirieron en la “PREVENTA”, de hecho, con esta compra pudieron completar su mazo casi que completo de “Conclave Arcana”, mientras que el resto (muchas de cartas) se han colocado en venta, incrementando la “Oferta” lo que disminuye los precios.
Pero, esto pasa siempre en todo mercado, no solo con Splinterlands y sus cartas, así funciona la lógica de las inversiones y cuando lo comprendes, sabes que es lo que tienes que hacer y mas si conoces los fundamentos sólidos que pueden catapultar los precios de estos activos nuevamente, dejando una brecha de oportunidades de compra para completar mazos y si se quiere y aumentar tus recompensas por jugar, esta es la estrategia, algo que no te dicen allá fuera y que debes darte cuenta solo de cómo funcionan las cosas.
Fundamentos y análisis de la oportunidad para una inversión estratégica en “Conclave Arcana”
Para poder tomar decisiones de inversión fundamentadas y soportadas, debes realizar un análisis, dicho análisis debe cumplir ciertos aspectos del juego o en este caso de la “Edición” para concluir si pudiera ser una buena o mala inversión, así que, para que entiendan esto, precisamente explicare las razones del porque la edición de “Conclave Arcana” puede ser una muy buena inversión en el largo plazo, hablando de 2 o 3 años en el futuro.
Las mecánicas de juego de Conclave Arcana
Algo que revoluciono juego y que lo sigue haciendo son las nuevas mecánicas que introdujo la edición de “Conclave Arcana” y que, gracias a eso, básicamente todo esto es la base del “Metajuego” actual, por lo que, comprender esto ayudara que evoluciones como jugador y puedas aplicar las estrategias más poderosas actuales, pero ¿Cuáles son esas mecánicas? Te las muestro:
- Las Lineas de Sangre: Esta es la mecánica principal que se introdujo con la llegada de “Conclave Arcana”, ya que, ahora todos los monstruos y/o unidades, tienen un origen especifico, o, dicho de otra forma, tienen y poseen su propia raza, esto te permite jugar cartas de la misma línea de sangre o raza, sin la necesidad de que sean parte del mismo elemento o “Splinter”, lo que amplifica aun mas la jugabilidad y estrategias a aplicar. Esta mecánica trae consigo la poderosa habilidad que tienen los nuevos arcontes llamada “Bloodline Dominion” y es la que te permite jugar de la forma antes explicada.
- Otras habilidades poderosas: Estas habilidades complementan estrategias que forman parte del “Metajuego” actual, por lo que, si quieres sorprender a cualquier oponente y ganar batallas, debes dominar estas habilidades que cimentan el valor competitivo y monetario de este SET. Estas habilidades son (Resurgence, Final Rest, Last Word y Painforge).
Razones y oportunidades
Precios bajos: Esta devaluación masiva de las cartas representa una muy buena oportunidad de armar mazos muy competitivos, la estrategia de compra en el “Dip”, es lo mejor que se puede hacer actualmente, tomando en cuenta que “Conclave Arcana” forma parte del formato mas competitivo en “Rankeds” que es el “Moderno” y adicional su tiempo de vida y permanencia aquí es de al menos 2 años, así que, este META se mantendrá por un tiempo, lo que traerá demanda.
Potencial de revalorización: A medida que la demanda por armar mazos que participen en el formato moderno crezca, el potencial de revalorización se volverá aun mas grande, por lo que, estamos en el mejor momento según mi opinión, para armar uno y varios mazos. Por supuesto, NFA DYOR.
Los Arquetipos de mazos con mayor potencial: Los mazos con mayor potencial dependen únicamente de la habilidad y estrategia que se tenga para construirlos, necesitas creatividad para armar estas combinaciones, pero, algunas de las que están realmente fuertes son (Mazo Bloodline Combo, Mazo de Resiliencia de Tanques y el arriesgado mazo llamado Anti-Metajuego) o al menos así lo llame yo.
Consideraciones finales
Con todo este análisis, razones y aprendizaje de los mercados en “Splinterlands”, tienes justo ahora altas probabilidades de posicionarte como un buen jugador, por mi parte ya estoy pensando en aplicar varias estrategias para tratar de posicionarme, hare un post detallado sobre esto, ya que venderé toda mi colección para comprar una nueva.

However, for me, it represents a good opportunity, and that is why today I want to write a different kind of post to explain how the market works and how to see opportunities that others cannot see.
While this may be obvious to many other players, the fact is that newer players don't have all the information, or simply don't know how to analyze it. they don't have the details, and that's our job as content creators, to inform and/or educate about this, so that newcomers to the ecosystem are truly informed and able to make decisions based on a well-founded analysis and logic. So, based on this, today you will learn how to analyze the Splinterlands market, both fundamentally and technically.

Understanding “Market Contraction”
As everyone knows, or at least the vast majority except for the newest players, when a new edition is launched in Splinterlands, it is always accompanied by a "Pre-sale," a phase where the biggest investors, mostly "Whales," those with a lot of purchasing power, buy hundreds and in some cases thousands of "Packs" of that SET, with the intention of positioning themselves early and taking advantage of the low prices, promotions, and bonuses that come with purchasing certain quantities. This is always done by the most veteran players, but why do they do it?
Simply because the idea behind every new release is to position yourself first, which gives you the opportunity to get better entry prices, basically cheaper. Now, after some time has passed since the release of "Conclave Arcana," something that usually drives prices up, that's when the "Conflicts" begin, the new "Airdrops" system that distributes "Legendary" cards to all players who have both "Packs" and cards from the same edition. So, if you want to earn points that will help you win these cards, you must place the aforementioned assets in a kind of "Staking," which drives demand.
Now that we have a clear understanding of how to take advantage of the market, basically by being the first to offer pre-sales and driving demand with "Conflicts," we have the following question:
Why is the market contracting, and what is causing the decline in card prices?
As you can see in the image, the prices of practically all cards have fallen sharply, dropping by 98% to 99% across all rarities. This is because the main players who bought these assets early on want a return on their investment for the thousands or hundreds of packs they purchased in the "PRE-SALE." In fact, with this purchase, they were able to complete their deck of "Conclave Arcana" almost entirely, while the rest (many cards) have been put up for sale, increasing the "supply" and lowering prices.
But this always happens in every market, not just with Splinterlands and its cards. this is how investment logic works, and when you understand it, you know what you have to do, especially if you know the solid fundamentals that can catapult the prices of these assets again, leaving a gap of buying opportunities to complete decks and, if you want, increase your rewards for playing. This is the strategy, something they don't tell you out there, and you have to figure out for yourself how things work.
Fundamentals and analysis of the opportunity for strategic investment in "Conclave Arcana"
In order to make informed and supported investment decisions, you must conduct an analysis. This analysis must take into account certain aspects of the game, or in this case, the "Edition," to conclude whether it could be a good or bad investment. So, to help you understand this, I will explain the reasons why the "Conclave Arcana" edition could be a very good investment in the long term, looking two or three years into the future.
The game mechanics of Conclave Arcana
Something that revolutionized the game and continues to do so are the new mechanics introduced in the "Conclave Arcana" edition. Thanks to this, basically all of this is the basis of the current "Metagame," so understanding this will help you evolve as a player and apply the most powerful strategies available today. But what are these mechanics? Let me show you:
- The Bloodlines: This is the main mechanic that was introduced with the arrival of "Conclave Arcana," since now all monsters and/or units have a specific origin, or, in other words, they have and possess their own race. This allows you to play cards from the same bloodline or race without them needing to be part of the same element or "Splinter," which further amplifies the gameplay and strategies that can be applied. This mechanic brings with it the powerful ability of the new archons called "Bloodline Dominion," which allows you to play in the manner explained above.
- Other powerful Abilities: These abilities complement strategies that are part of the current "Metagame," so if you want to surprise any opponent and win battles, you must master these abilities that cement the competitive and monetary value of this SET. These abilities are (Resurgence, Final Rest, Last Word, and Painforge).
Reasons and opportunities
Low prices: This massive devaluation of cards represents a very good opportunity to build highly competitive decks. The strategy of buying on the dip is the best thing to do right now, considering that Arcane Conclave is part of the most competitive format in Ranked, which is Modern, and additionally, its lifespan and permanence here is at least two years. So, this META will remain for a while, which will bring demand.
Potential for appreciation: As demand for building decks to participate in the modern format grows, the potential for revaluation will become even greater, so, in my opinion, now is the best time to build one or more decks. Of course, NFA DYOR.
The Archetypes of Decks with the Greatest Potential: The decks with the greatest potential depend solely on the skill and strategy used to build them. You need creativity to put these combinations together, but some of the really strong ones are (Bloodline Combo Deck, Tank Resilience Deck, and the risky deck called Anti-Metagame), or at least that's what I call them.
Final thoughts
With all this analysis, reasoning, and learning about the markets in Splinterlands, you now have a high probability of positioning yourself as a good player. For my part, I am already thinking about applying various strategies to try to position myself. I will write a detailed post about this, as I will be selling my entire collection to buy a new one.
