Asian Bombardier Beetle

Today I'm here to share some macro shots of a beautiful insect called Asian bombardier beetle. Its scientific name is Pheropsophus jessoensis.

I found it fields crawling around herbs. When i saw it i decided to photograph it. It was crawling very fastly. I think it was in pain because one of its front leg was broken.

I was scared of it because of its size and shape. I didn't know if it was harmful to humans or not. However i managed to photograph it from different angles. I captured it with my mobile's macro lens. Its not easy to capture this insect become of its fast movement..
