☃️ Snowy places around the World

I love cold places and snow... and having moved to the South of the Globe, I can still have access to them, but when doing so, the percentage of access (land-wise) has reduced quite a lot.

In fact, a fun fact is that the Northern Hemisphere has two times much land area as the Southern Hemisphere, and during this season, around +40% of the Northern Hemisphere is covered with some sort of snow. Literally almost as much as the size of the land as the Southern Hemisphere.

The majority of time of my life, the brain said... "If it's Christmas, it will be cold!"
But then, it became, "If it's Christmas, it's time to go to the beach, enjoy the water and the sun!" - nothing wrong with that. But the season spirit AND the temperature still don't align after all these years.

The closest I get to snow is some dried-out algae that you can ALSO, slide on! 🤣

Anyhow, not complaining, just a retrospective of sorts. It has its advantages, like having access to Kina, for example (even if now they are already beginning to spawn).

The weather has been sort of nice lately, even if not too warm for everyone's standards. But enough for not driving me crazy with nowhere to go quickly outside.

Although this morning was running... (photos are from two different days, but today was literaly like the right one).

I got the best thing I can wish in life... health, family (here on Hive too) and a place I can call home! 😍

2025 was a year full of so much stuff... GOSH 🤯

I even hung on the wall a board of my previous Supercomputer Interconnect (Aries) at my office!

(companies that don't even exist anymore, lol)

🤗 Something worth recalling 😍

Something I really valued and enjoyed seeing by the end of 2025. We needed something like this (in my view). I don't want to talk necessarily about the "costing of it" (even if I understand it has costs), but instead about the "they took the initiative", and in my own opinion, we need more internal marketing like this that eventually results in the external marketing for almost free (at least if it depends on me, it will always be free for Hive people I can curate).

I am speaking about the #HiveCreatorsAwards and its winners voted by the Hive community. An absolutely amazing masterpiece work done. I love the website, I love the kinetic energy of adapting it to web2 too, making it easy to share, love the way to verify everything, love the way to expose "WHO DID it"... Loved it! MORE please!

And there are sooo many reasons for me to call this "Amazing"... starting with the fact (to my knowledge) no ONE has ever done it, this way... impact on both web2 and web3, as it should be. It's perfect... as we need the big idiots of the money that can give up money to develop humanity's new technology that is not just a waste for MONEY MAKERS!

A disgrace... 🤦‍♂️ lack of time and dedication, I must admit, but not because something changed and/or made me hate the "scenery". But because of just me, getting old! 🤤

Either way, I have been around now and then... but I am mostly enjoying times with kids and playing other "non-Hive" based games during this break.

Although I have something to say... There was a game that marked me a lot in 2025. Not because of its reasons to exist or objectives to accomplish necessarily. But because of the feelings it created and the people's actions impact it had (or still has, as this season hasn't finished yet).

Not everyone likes these types of games, so I am probably a minority here. Either way, I'm super glad I played it and will continue to play it while I feel I have a mission to play there! No names needed... clicking on the image will take it to it! 😏

There used to be snowy places in my life as well - today, only rarely. Perhaps because I was born in summer, I’m more drawn to warmth. To the south. As you so aptly put it, the spirit of the seasons and the temperatures do take some getting used to.

My real Christmas gift, however, was a new realization: through death and birth, the size of our family hasn’t diminished. And since the younger generation has grown, the conversations have become more modern and lively - which feels both good and hopeful.

Depending on what your script does, you might want to just run a node for it. It's a very low-level resource thing now. I can even do a FULL Hive Node on a 32GB laptop from 4 years ago!

No snow where I’m from but I’m grateful it gets a bit cold during the holidays 😁 Speaking of Christmas presents, I got myself some land on dCrops and started planting and harvesting! I really wish I started playing earlier. I used to just hold some packs but now I’m supeeeer hooked. Didn’t expect I’d enjoy it this much hahaha because of dCrops, I’m also thinking of exploring other games on Hive soon!

Yes, same. This year logistics said we would pass in family at home. Its ok, to be honest I prefer vs noise and "blind" people to see the fireworks places. Had my enough time of that.

I think X in 2025 didn't progress much, but I met really great web2 people that I am now doing more actively reaching out. This is something that in 2026 I want to further explore.

ATX is maintaining its trend, I guess... I am not super worried about that one, as it's mostly to make people on Hive stay on Hive, learn and enjoy a bit of themselves.

I have never thought I was going to profit from ATX, and to be honest, if I have to give it all away to the people who believed in me, I will.

It was always meant to be an instrument to teach (test materials for teaching too) and make people get curious about learning more about blockchain.

Anyhow, did the extra mile here as usual.

So glad I had you all this time. Since the RisingStar game, until now... so many memories. Thanks for that! And wish you an amazing 2026. 😎
