Yes, and it's probably going to overlap into a bit of September. Lots of stress, family sick, changes, no time to work in an organised way, news about people that make you worry, you name it, this month was full of downs.

The AI world is not giving anyone a break! Yes, it brought a lot of good things, but with it, bad actors are able to use the same technology and weaponise it for their own advantage.

If you were to ask me again in the past, with what I know today, would I feel good about AI coming? I think I would say, "Crap, let me change job type and prepare!"

There is a reason you don't put nukes in the hands of "anyone"... it's just too risky! And even if today criminals have access to the most basic weapon, there is some level of enforcement or regulation.

On AI??? All you need is internet access... that's it!

It's still super early, and because the big giant that made trillions could convince governments that it would be wiser to "let it go" than to put the right guardrails around it, before it falls into the wrong hands for the wrong reasons...

Don't get me wrong, I love AI!!! And I think it will revolutionise the human race (has already), but as usual, humans sickness for money, have no compassion for the wellbeing of others. And the end result is a new Era of Cibercriminality that we don't even comprehend the impacts of.

Before we could rely on physical defences (sticks, walls, arrows, guns, tanks, etc) to protect our dear ones... where I see this going, those assets will have very little effect, and instead it will be sabotage, hacking and lots of illusions, misinformation, etc that will cause the most pain.

If you are a gamer, Espionage is now the best trade! If you can profit from it, GO! But be advised, it's not for rookies, because the computer machine will be much faster!

Anyway, enough of ranting... and let's move on!

This is a quick one, just reminding people that I have, 4 days ago, issued the new 5 million liquidity into the pool as planned.

They were issued by @atexoras account as usual and added to the distribution currently active on the liquidity pool ATX:SWAP.HIVE.

For the ones that stuck around so long, enjoy! And as usual, appreciate your support in keeping this running so lean, even in a super bear market. I am not going anywhere, and there is some interesting work brewing within the Layer 2 that I would say could be motivational to many, depending on how it goes.

I haven't contributed anything yet to it, but I have intentions too. Thanks to the ones taking the initiative forward! They know whom I'm speaking of... 💪

I think August was mostly 3 games 🤣🤦‍♂️ LOL - I still spent time doing the "usual" ones, but I remained focused mainly on these for now, as I don't have bandwidth for more.

My aim always surrounds verifying and curating projects in my own way, supporting the teams with whatever feedback I can provide, and if I can help find some bugs (like others), then combined, it's all value added into the chain in one form or another. AND have some fun!

Sloths Mining Wars

The latest one that I have been hooked on kind of reminds me of the level of dedication I had to have for the https://moon.hive.pizza one (not playing right now, but I am lightly following the updates and will want to revisit later) - (@cwow might resemble 🤣). It's different, but for competitive players like me (when I want to put the effort in), you will recall the same vibes I think.

And soon, given my latest developments on trying to test a few things, people might start getting into Discord (please use Matrix instead) channels, forming alliances, and probably pursuing my ass in the next round! 🤣🤦‍♂️😎😍

If you see this, please BE AWARE of (before jumping into the FUN):

1. The game is still in development and will have bugs (this is why some of us are playing it this early, to find them)... DYOR 🥰
2. The game works on Rounds (usually 7 days), and what happens at the end of each round can be "adapted" from round to round, until the game economics balance stabilises. This round sloths will be reset again, to my last knowledge (but check with them).
3. You need 1 $HIVE to "enter" the round, and from there you don't need to contribute with anything else if you don't want to. But if all you want is to see what is happening, you can also. The game updates are broadcast on the chain... so anyone can follow. But to make it easy for you, check this link.
4. If you don't know what you are doing, WAIT the 3 days until this round ENDS! - best to learn and be sure of what you want, rather than regret it because you didn't know!
5. If you are joining, say hello in the "on-chain" chat! If you are not, but still want to say hello, you can! 🤗

I have "written" an "AI-facilitated" LOL (the irony of it on this post LOL) Quick Guide if you need to read first... here. In a nutshell, this game is a mining "competition" for HIVE rewards (the Honey), and you may need to buy Sloths in order to defend your Honey or even attack others to get some.

Who's responsible for all this? @sloth.buzz, and he's such a nice attitude mate I haven't yet had the chance to understand until now! I am enjoying the experience so far, and sorry if this post is going to bring you some extra players when you are still not yet "grand finally launched". 🤣 (Hopefully people will read this and WAIT until the 3 days of this round END!!!)

My dEmpire

Not as active as I was in the beginning, but I am still monitoring and playing it daily. Lots of people have inactive factories! Which now people will riot against me LOLOL. Why? Well, because if people are inactive when they have built factories, they are effectively increasing the rewards of other players!

If you are there, check and vote for the "Empire Culture Spotlight" section... which is a way to distribute EMP (sort of the in-game currency) to the players with the best Factory names!

There are currently 42 registered accounts, and I really loved what @mydempire has done so far, especially the latest "challenged" login! Which I am guessing must have released a TON of resources from the sessions that were constantly connecting.

I am not sure if that was the main cause, but recently the game has also become a lot faster. It was especially noticeable to me because I have 181 FACTORIES! So, appreciate for that quality of life improvement.

The Imperial Mint!

In terms of effort, it is a lot less than the previous game I talked about, and you can use strategy much more peacefully... but that can change! Both games here are constantly evolving...

My dEmpire requires you to buy a pack at least (9 HIVE) to start playing. That's it! I might run giveaways in the future, as I have a couple of "unused lands" already, and as we (the community) support these things, it becomes easier to onboard other people (because there are more of us, trying it out).

Hive Groove

This is a live experience that people who previously doubted they could create using AI (the irony in my post AGAIN...) have now successfully said, NOP! I CAN!

And for all that, @shiftrox just had to try! The work is visible in the number of users he attracted to the game, and the evolution over time also showed lots of learned steps.

Feedback consumption and his persistence here (I would say) were the most HIVE blooded atitudes I can commend to anyone jumping into this kind of world (developing products on Hive). I think it just pays off to be building on top of the Hive community, and then, if successful, it will only tag along more people outside of Hive (because people eventually share stuff).

So, this model is a win-win by default.

Yes, still lots in flight like all the games above, but this is how active development and participation on Hive works, and vs many other chains, a unique possible thing with very little to no costs (discarding the AI part, which will be on you, LOL).

Lastly, I would like to appreciate the fact that I got a lot of my wishes come true in this game! Among the latest ones, which I am definitely sucking at it 🤣🤦‍♂️ is the AMAZING...

But that's not it! This mate has also brought one of the most "Natural" and obvious components the chain already had support for, full stop, that many games haven't yet implemented and was always here for everyone to JUST add it!

The Campfire place, where you integrate normal on-chain chat, with the app you are building! And for me, this is the natural way of using features already developed and ready to use on Hive, complementing the products you are developing.

THE Sloth guys also did the same thing... and I'm positive more and more people will think it's the way. It's ready to use, so don't invent it again... contribute to it instead.

I was going to make another probably 10-minute reading-long section, about something really important coming up. Something that represents part of what I do on chain, and because it is really important to the community in general. But I am exhausted from the weekend...

And I also did finalise the replay of my (copy) second Hive API node (on the crapy IO node), now running on 1.28.7 hived code too, which I will switch to. But I need to do some more final work on the new things that are new to me, and given all the stuff happening over the last two weeks with family being sick, I didn't have the energy for more.

So, updates on both of these two things will have to wait until another post.
