Financial tracking on Hive is hard. There's lots of places to put money and not a lot of ways to track it. Hive Engine has a few tools to help with this. These tools are still early, but we're working on improvements.

PORTFOLIO TRACKER

Hive-Engine has this nice little beta tool to track your portfolio. It's operating on Hive L1, Hive Engine L2, and Splinterlands L2.

This tool helps you see your assets. We're working on charting and saving your financial snapshot so you can see how your portfolio is growing in this ecosystem.

In the meantime feel free to take a look and download csv files of your assets. If you're wondering if something is included or not download the csv and look for it before asking questions.

Tax Help

Now, most of you do (and should) hate taxes, but some of you are going to pay them and will want help tracking this stuff. Hive Engine has a tax tool to help.

You can download your HE transaction history. Combine that with a Splinterlands transaction history and you should have a lot of the transaction data you need to stave off the tax man's jail for another year.

If you've never done crypto taxes before here are the steps.

1. go to tax.tribaldex.com
2. buy credits with BEE
3. select the date ranges you're looking for (month and year are clickable) then click select
4. generate report
5. wait a few days depending on how active you are
6. if you're super active you'll have to break it down into months rather than a full year.
7. don't do more than a full year at once.
8. go to splinterlands.com, click the cog next to your name
9. select currency activity
10. download reports
11. Again, if you're a power user and have millions or hundreds of millions of botted transactions in an account then you're going to want to select less time than a year like a month.
12. Work with a tax accountant to review the transactions that you've done and what kind of tax impact they have in your country

Tax Accounting

I'm also working on putting together a service for full tax accounting for crypto. Not sure how far I'll get this year, but I'm hoping for this year's tax time we'll be able to crunch a lot of numbers for people (especially those with a lot of transactions). Even if you don't use our specific tax accountants to do your actual taxes I think we'll be able to help you prep the docs they'll need.

Hive Gains!

It's been a minute since we've seen any gains on Hive. About a month ago we were sitting at 16-17 cents per Hive. Now we're nearly 3 times that at 44 cents.

Hard to imagine that the same would have happened if the party of Joy and Crypto Hate would have won.

Anyway, I'm joyful that crypto generally, Hive specifically, and the associated ecosystems that I founded and helped build are on a better trajectory. Looking forward to the next couple of years. Should be better than what we've had in the past.
