Cultural display at the grand style of graduation and prize giving day ceremony celebration

Hello Hive.

This week has been a busy one for me as I had alot of running around to help my sister graduate preliminary school in grand style.

Aside shopping for fabrics at last weeks market Friday post to sew a graduation dress for her which happened during the course of this week, beautiful highlight of today's post is attending the party that usually has a cultural heritage on display since learning isn't about academics alone.

Pupils and learners are taught both culture, language and traditions in school.
They are taught to speak our various native dialect, how to dress culturally and be a good representatives of their villages and hometowns.

The highlight of every graduation usually has various cultural display, food and all.
Parents troop in to celebrate their children not in the modern way of partying this time around.

My sister has attended a Force school as we now have both force and military primary and secondary schools in the country where learners learn both morals, virtues and standard discipline alongside their academics.

On graduation occasion, we also witness military/force activities like a parade or match pass on display.

These little ones have been taught both the culture and police force activities of the country.
My sister alongside all the other graduating pupils were dressed like mini police officers, we had the Inspector general of police from the state chapter in attendance, we also had the bands and cultural groups on display.

My dad been an a retired police officer also felt the nostalgia seeing his daughter in a similar uniform he once wore and worked in for 35years.

I tagged them both as the senior and junior police officers 😂😂😀

She graduated as the third overall pupil in her academics with this little award.

Next is a picture with her nephew and niece. They were happy and clinger to her, usually she is their mini mother and play sister

Now her classmates and friends all dressed up in uniforms.

Am not sure who we are saluting but you can spot her wood gum in the pics 😀😀.

The event started with opening prayers, speech by the head teacher, Inspector general of police and other outstanding dignitaries, next was the match pass, cultural dance, drama, nursery rhymes and presentation, menu menu and dance, dance dance.

I thought I can make a a 3speak video to show us some of this must watch fun moments but am still short on how to use 3speak.

This has come as a very long post and I hope you didn't get bored reading along with me.

Thank you for stopping by.

Congrats to your sister! Your father must have been so proud of her seeing here in uniform :) It's important that kids should always be taught about culture and tradition for the influence of other cultures can easily overpower those just like what is happening now in our region. Yes, it's okay to learn about culture and tradition but to totally forget yours is sad. You will lose your uniqueness and true identity.

Lovely #MarketFriday entry! Cheers! :)

Congratulations to your sister! I understand the discipline and hard work to attend one of their military academies to study. Not only the regular academic studies but, further into the protocol and other necessary teachings to give them the background they need.

Very impressive to see her be third in her class! That is a lot of hard work!

The outfits were awesome on everyone. I truly like to see culture shared and learned by the younger generation. So many things in culture have been lost because the younger generation has no want/need for them. Being taught that it is part of what makes up their heritage has encouraged them to learn it and pass it on, keeping many of the rituals, dances and music in their life. One of the reasons I like some of our holidays, to reenact pieces of our history, and heritage.

This was wonderful @monica-ene! I upload my things to YouTube and post them if that is the only way, although 3speak will pay, so that is the way, of course. If you ever get it up, I would love to see it. I am always about the culture!

Thank you for sharing this day with us! You have a beautiful family! ❤️

Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
