Ranting about the bad economy

For the past two years, the citizens of Nigeria has been facing, bad economic challenges. Since a new president got ibto rulership, the economy crashed into pieces. The cost of living, has become so difficult for the living, food items are not fair in price, only few citizens could actually afford good food and cater for their necessities.

Back in 2020 during the covid-19, everyone complained about the economy, little did they know that, the worst was awaiting for them in the future. Now, everyone wish, we could go back to when the economy was less worse.
It's really bad how the present economy is turning from bad to worst, people are crying out on a daily basis complaining about the hardship and how cost of living is becoming so hard for the living.

Some citizens had tried coming online to rant, and talk about how the economy is affecting them negatively. Did they get a positive response?, of course not.

I'm a Nigerian and in my country only people with power, money and connection are the only ones that have a say in the country. As an ordinary citizen your opinion doesn't count as a matter of fact, your opinion as an ordinary citizen doesn't matter at all. Whenever an ordinary citizen comes out to talk about the government or rant about what him/her don't like about the government, it becomes a really big issue, in most cases the individual would be arrested and forced to tender an apology to the government.

The present economy is hitting everyone so bad including myself. Keeping just one job to sustain myself in this country is really a big challenge, to be able to survive the present economy, one has to keep more than one good paying job, because depending on only one job for survival, would wreck a person to zero square.

To be able to survive in this country, you need connection, i mean connection with top officials in power. Without this, you're considered nothing or just an ordinary citizen. With connection and power, anything is possible. When someone has connection and power, they feel they have it all, it is so bad to the extent people get to misuse or rather, abuse the power or authority given to them.

Just last month, some citizens took it upon themselves to rant and talk about the bad economy, the rant went on for 30 days (30 days rant challenge). A lot of citizens used this opportunity to speak their minds and express themselves , about the bad economy. The government seems not to care about the citizens or try to fix the bad economy. It saddens my heart, to see innocent people suffering on a daily basis due to the bad economy.
