One of my favorite subjects to photograph is the sky. It's just very fascinating how it changes color, the cloud formations, the stars, and the moon at night, and so on.
When my cousins visited a couple of weeks ago, I took some photos of the sunset sky. We went to the Divine Mercy shrine in the afternoon for the first time. We've been living here for more than 4 months now, but we usually go there in the morning, so I never got the chance to see the sunset from there.
I guided them through the shortcut, and we could see the beautiful sunset already.

When we reached the top, here's the view of the sky.

My phone camera didn't really do it any justice, but the view was so beautiful in this color. The next island isn't very visible, though, because the volcano there has been quite active recently.

On our way back home, the sky was even more colorful. It was fun walking and enjoying the beautiful sky with my favorite people.
Anyway, there's another set of photos that I want to share. I took this a few days before the sunset photos were taken. It was nighttime when my father asked me to turn on the light outside as it was getting pretty dark.
However, I told him to wait for a while because I wanted to take photos of the night sky.
My phone (RealMe 8 Pro) has a camera feature called Starry Mode. It allows you to take clearer photos of the stars at night. However, it should be very dark, with no other light, and it must remain steady for at least 4 minutes.
I found an old video camera tripod at home, so I decided to use it. There's enough space for my phone to put. However, the neighbor's light was a problem, so I had to put the tripod higher; I placed it on top of a chair. The floor wasn't balanced, but I could do it.
I could only take 3 photos, though, since I had some classes that night.

I don't know what that line is. It must be some moving light from a plane or something.

When I showed this photo to one of my students who's into stars and constellations, he told me that I was able to capture the Orion's Belt.
I like stargazing, but I'm not familiar with star names and constellations, so it was cool to know. I'd like to take more photos like these.
The sky wasn't very clear last week due to the haze, though my area's condition is better than in the other cities on the east coast of Cebu Island. However, it's much better now; it even rained for the first time in a while. I wonder if it also rained on the opposite coast, though. (I live in the west coast of the island.)
Anyway, that's it for this post. I hope you enjoyed the photos. See you around! (^^,)/

The last starry sky photo looks really calm and beautiful.
