I never really loved exercise and always thought it was stressful, but I was wrong. For a long time, I always thought it had to do with only going to the gym every morning. I had a fixed morning routine, and there was no room for the gym. My husband always said the gym is overrated, but I think that’s the only place to get the best results for exercising. I always promised myself to hit the gym after childbirth just to secure my shape back, but I still didn’t have the time. I needed to burn some belly fat, and it’s now I realized that there are so many things I could do to exercise my body without getting to the gym.

You all will agree with me that being a mother is an exercise on its own, because you have a lot to do every day, and that will definitely serve as an exercise for your body.
Sometimes, I dance around with my baby just to comfort him whenever he wants to act as the baby he is. The dance, walking around the house, and swinging back and forth serve as exercise.
Another duty of motherhood that counts as exercise is doing laundry, preparing food, cleaning, and other house chores. All these things are a good way to get rid of fat and keep the body active.
For my belly I do a few sit-ups every morning. Sometimes, I borrow my husband's skipping rope and use it briefly. These few exercises do magic to my body, and I see the impact every day.
Last week Sunday at church, a woman stared at me for a while. She later came to ask if I was using anything for my belly or if I wore something to package my body. My response was exercise, and she doubted it based on her expression.

One more thing I do to exercise my body is strolling. After all the work, I strolled every evening, and I always did that with my baby because I made use of that opportunity to show him around the world so that he could take fresh air at the same time.
Moreover, there are times I trek whenever I go to the market; it is not that I can’t afford to take a bus, but trekking to and fro resets my muscles from my head to my toes, and by the time I get home, I used to feel refreshed and energized to continue for the rest of the week.
All these things are normal things that I considered my daily routine before I gave birth, but experiencing the stress of motherhood gave me the idea of exercising with my daily routine, and that has been helpful to me, and I can boldly recommend it for someone like me who thinks going to the gym is the only way of exercising and, of course, mothers as well, because people don’t really know they can exercise with their daily routine without going to the gym.
Gym is indeed overrated 😂. Na hype.
You are doing well as a mother. And your fitness really mean a lot. I appreciate the fact that you that you shuffled both motherhood and physical health without disturbing eachother.

After so much back and forth, I realised that the gym is truly overrated. Most of the things I do there I can do at home and I even workout at home now. Who needs the gym? 😂
Lol 😂
In fact you can watch YouTube videos for more exercises and then do it at home whenever you want
Who needs gym when you have made a good use of time..
You really manage your time well and make every work count..
You have equally taught us today that being a mother doesn't means you shouldn't be fit and I must commend you for that..
Keep it up 💪
Oh!! I didn't mention that I am also working out at home but omo e no easy, I do it when I have time 🤧
Hahaha 😝 doing exercise alone at home can be boring sometimes but with your music one while doing it you won’t even remember you all alone
Okay... I will try doing that
Thank you 😊

Uncle D is not lying, the gym is just hype and it's not even safe anymore with the atrocities happening there.
You are looking tight and your exercise is working for you. I will also be getting these ropes when I return to Ijebu next month.
Yes o, most people go to gym for something else and not the exercise anymore and that is why I don’t bother my self going there
I have always wanted a skipping rope, too, but I haven't seen one around me yet. Maybe I will keep looking for it because I do need it. You don't have to hit the gym to get back on shape when you could do some exercises in the house and still be fine. I do some sit-ups sometimes, too, but now, I have made it a point of duty every morning to practice even if it's for a short while. Doing it consistently will bring results.
Yes o my sister you can achieve your beautiful body shape at home with constant exercise, you can get the skipping rope in the store if there is anyone around your area
Wow, motherhood really a lot of hidden exercise inside it. No wonder mothers are usually tired at the end of a full day.
Well done!
