Simplicity is good for a better version

A minimalist always focuses on simplicity, and as a minimalist, I am not different. It’s true that life is not so easy, and one needs to deal with a lot of things, and deal with so many things, making life complex, but minimalists always find balance in life and find a way to think about life from a simple point of view. Because of this kind of point of view, a minimalist can understand them better than anyone. Let me share how adapting simplicity helped/is helping me to understand myself better.

Humans have desires, and they’re endless. Money can be the best example of it. It doesn’t matter how much a normal person earns; it’s not enough, and wanting more is very natural. Endless desires start to make things complicated for us. Simplicity is the thing that can shackle human desire. I want a simple life, and for the sake of simplicity, I can’t be driven by the endless desire. It’s because if I am driven by desires, it will interrupt my inner peace. Didn’t get it? Ok, then let me explain a little bit. Desires are endless; the more I desire, the harder it is to satisfy myself. If I can’t satisfy myself, my inner peace must be disturbed. Disturbance of inner peace is the start of thinking about life from a complex point of view.

A minimalist knows better than anyone what they need and what they want. As a minimalist, I always try to achieve those things that I need. Not what I want. I can make a difference between my wants and needs. Let me share an example of it, and smartphones can be the best example. In this digital world, thinking about life without a smartphone is impossible. So, I need a smartphone for sure for various reasons, but what smartphone should I choose? Should I choose an iPhone? I know it can offer me many of the best facilities, but can I utilize all the facilities, or is it worth spending so much on the facilities I will get? From my side, I think it’s not good to spend so much money on it. Only for one reason may I buy an iPhone, and it’s for showing off, but simplicity never allows me to show off. Simplicity tells me not to bother myself to get the attention of others and not to be disturbed by it.

The thought of a minimalist is very simple. For that reason, I don’t think too much about anything unless it’s necessary. I know that there are some thoughts that are very complex to solve; in that case, I let it go because those kinds of thoughts get more complicated when I think more about them. This is called simplicity, which lets me know that there are some thoughts that need to be avoided for the greater good. Another thing is I never compare myself with others. It’s because I feel I don’t need to chase anyone, and I don’t need to be like anyone. I am myself, and I don’t need to compare myself with others, and Simplicity helped me to understand it better. In fact, because of simplicity, I am able to know myself better and become a better version of myself.

I totally understand your point and I agree 100 per cent. Simplicity will teach you contentment, and that will give you inner peace. The more we desire something, the more we keep finding ways to get satisfied, and in the end, we won't have peace of mind. The best is to live simply and be content. That is the great gain.

Hmm. As long as I try to keep things simple, it's good for my inner peace and help to get satisfied easily. That's why I love the simplicity more than anything.
