Day full of surprises that brought thoughts of renovation

Hello, I have just had another day that brought with it a few surprises, forcing me to start planning the renovation of my own flat. To start from the beginning, I woke up quite early and took care of my household chores. First thing in the morning, I was surprised by a message from my friend, who said he could drop by for a while if I had time. I didn't mind, because I happened to have a day off, so I could start my chores later in the day. We sat for a while at my place, talking and eating breakfast, which I was in the process of making, so I thought it would be nice to offer him some. My friend asked me where the bathroom was. I led him through the kitchen to the hallway, showing him which door led to the room. While he was still in the bathroom, I heard a rather unusual sound, and when he came out, he told me that the toilet seat had broken. Surprised, I followed him to the bathroom and indeed found the seat half broken. My friend had no idea how it happened, and I can't imagine it either. In any case, I now have to replace the toilet seat, and that's not the end of today's excitement. When I was washing the dishes after our breakfast, at one point the tap spout shot straight into the plate. Fantastic, just like every other day, if something breaks, it brings with it an avalanche of surprises. I only had time to finish washing the dishes and start rummaging under the sink to figure out how to replace it when I heard the cat playing on the chair behind me. I just turned to him and it started. He jumped from the chair onto the curtain and started climbing. The curtain rod clearly couldn't withstand such a sudden weight and simply broke off the wall under his weight. It was just past noon, and suddenly half the house needed replacing. So I spent most of the day planning the renovation, because since I am forced to replace the curtain rod in the kitchen, I will also replace it in the living room, because it is also poorly hung there, a simple wooden curtain rod, and I am afraid that sooner or later the cats will demolish that part as well. And if I have to re-prime the walls after filling in the holes, it would be a good idea to repaint them, because they are not the freshest. That's how I spent most of the day, and I had to finish the rest at work on the night shift. I did most of the steps there, although I also walked around a bit at home.

Witam serdecznie, mam za sobą kolejny dzień, który niósł ze sobą kilka niespodzianek zmuszających mnie do rozpoczęcia planów remontu mojego własnego mieszkania. Zaczynając od początku, obudziłem się dosyć wcześnie i zająłem się swoim gospodarstwem. Z samego rana zaskoczyła mnie wiadomość od mojego kolegi, który powiedział że mógłby wpaść na chwilę jeżeli mam czas. Nie miałem nic przeciwko, bo akurat trafił mi się dzień wolnego, a więc swoje obowiązki mogłem zacząć dopiero późniejszą porą. Posiedzieliśmy chwilę u mnie rozmawiając i jedząc śniadanie, akurat byłem w trakcie jego robienia, więc pomyślałem że miło będzie go poczęstować. Kumpel pyta się mnie gdzie mam łazienkę. Zaprowadziłem go przez kuchnię do korytarza pokazując mu które drzwi prowadzą do pomieszczenia. Kiedy był jeszcze w łazience usłyszałem dosyć nietypowy dźwięk, a jak już wyszedł to dostałem informację, że połamała mi się deska klozetowa. Zdziwiony poszedłem za nim do łazienki i faktycznie zastałem tam w połowie pękniętą deskę. Kolega nie miał pojęcia jak to się stało i ja również nie potrafię sobie tego wyobrazić. W każdym razie doszło mi teraz zajęcie się wymianą sedesu, a to jeszcze nie koniec dzisiejszych wrażeń. Kiedy już myłem naczynia po naszym śniadaniu, w pewnym momencie prosto w talerz wystrzeliła mi wylewka od kranu. Fantastycznie, dzień jak co dzień, jeżeli coś się zepsuje, to ciągnie to ze sobą lawinę niespodzianek. Zdążyłem tylko skończyć mycie naczyń i zacząć grzebanie pod zlewem, aby wymyślić w jaki sposób by to wymienić, gdy za sobą usłyszałem bawiącego się na krześle kota. Tylko się do niego odwróciłem i się zaczęło. Wskoczył on z krzesła na firankę i zaczął się wspinać. Karnisz najwyraźniej nie wytrzymał takiego nagłego ciężaru i pod jego wpływem zwyczajnie zerwał mi się ze ściany. Dopiero, co minęło południe, a tu nagle pół domu do wymiany. Większość dnia spędziłem więc na planowaniu remontu, bo skoro jestem zmuszony wymienić karnisz w kuchni, to i wymienię go w salonie, ponieważ jest tam również zawieszony w kiepski sposób, zwykły, drewniany karnisz i obawiam się, że koty prędzej czy później zdemolują także tę część. A jeżeli już będę musiał na nowo gruntować ściany po dziurach, to i przydałoby się je odmalować, albowiem do najświeższych one nie należą. Tak upłynęła mi większość dnia, a resztę byłem już zmuszony dokończyć w pracy na nocnej zmianie. Tam też zrobiłem dużą część kroków, chociaż w domu również trochę się nachodziłem.
