My Actifit Report Card: August 5 2025

Today was a good day. Yesterday it started to rain and today it was all wet.

In the morning my plants were looking amazing. And eventually in the afternoon it started to rain again. I was happy that it rained because my plants need water. Sometimes they need a lot of water because rainy season is not cold in India. It is part of summer I think because it rains for a week sometimes and then for a few days it has such harsh sun that it feels like summer.

Just two to three days ago it was feeling like hot and now it's raining. A few days ago I couldn't water my plants because I was unwell and I didn't go to the nursery. The nursery was closed for a day. Usually I don't do that until there is an emergency.

I took a day off two days ago and I made sure to rest and relax. Because of that my plants suffered a little bit. I can see a few leaves getting yellow and a few plants which were fragile are now looking like they are almost ready to dry out. I am trying my best.

Today we started loading the pickup truck and the workers did quite well and they finished loading and unloading the truck within a few hours. I was happy.

I might have mentioned this in my earlier post that there was a nursery that was shutting down and the partners asked me to ask me if I would buy their stock. I was happy to buy all the stock from them and we brought all the stock to the nursery.

The plants are amazing. A few of the plants are, let's say, rare and I am happy that I was able to buy them.

One of the downsides of buying failing nursery businesses is that I end up with too many plans and right now if you visit my nursery there is hardly any space for you to walk and it creates chaos when customers walk in and they look at a tiny jungle.

I think a few days ago I mentioned that I have at least 4,000 plants. Now just let's just say that we have 5,000 and counting 5,000 plants and I'm happy that I bought this stuff.

I hold plants and I love them. I take care of them. I make them big. I make them healthy and then I sell them and when my customers come and tell me uh and give their reviews I am happy because most of the time they give me positive response.

Tomorrow we'll have a few big tasks for me and my helper, because we have to make sure all the plants are watered, all the plants are kept in their specific areas, because they are plants that require a lot of sun and they are plants that we have that do not require much sunlight, let's say indoor plants.

And watering the plants is a little bit easy tomorrow because it rained today and I'm happy because my plants love rain, I love rainy season.

So it will take me at least four to five days to sell enough stock, to sell enough plants, so that there is enough space for everyone to walk around.

Every day I write these stories about my nursery here and I feel happy. I just love sharing and talking about my plants and my business.

I'm not the best at growing plants. I'm not the best businessman. I fail a lot, but I love this job. I love this business and I love doing what I do.

I hope I will not have to shut down my business like other people did in the last few months. I think at least five or six nursery businesses have shut down in the last one year or maybe one and a half year.

It's sad and I hope my business will stay afloat and never have to sell it or shut it down because if I do that then I will be mentally broken because plants give me happiness and they make me smile.

Why are you so serious? Come on guys, smile and have a happy life. Good night.

My favorite plant from my nursery is the big Monstera Deliciosa that I have in my nursery since the last three years.
