It’s hard to believe we’re already past first half of the year! Ok, not literally, cause there are still 9 more days till the end of this month, but yesterday marked the longest day of the year and from now on the days will slowly get shorter and shorter again, until we reach the shortest day of the year on the 21st of December and so on…
The cycles of seasons, the cycles of life.
Summer solstice this year was accompanied by a beautiful full moon too! One thing I still wish for is that my phone camera would picture the moon just as my eyes see it. That would be another dream come true. For now though it still can’t, so I very rarely try to capture it.
Why should I anyway? There are so many beautiful views my camera CAN capture so beautifully, that I shall just be grateful for that.
It has no issues capturing beautiful sky and clouds or animals passing by in New Forest. Mr B was rather excited seeing cows, horses and ponies strolling around us as we walked towards the horizon. The ample open space was so inviting and the silence filled us up with peace.
We walked and walked like there was no tomorrow. And when tomorrow (today) has arrived, I was barely able to get up from bed 😂
Who cares though? We’ve had a beautiful 2 hours walk, full of peace, laughter and deep conversations. Simply the dream way of spending the summer solstice.
It was well past 9pm and the sun was slowly setting to cross to the other side of the globe when we were heading back to the village and we worried for a moment that there will be no place still open to eat, but of course, this perfect evening couldn’t end less than perfectly and the nearby Italian restaurant was still open and the stuff allowed us to order one course meal.
I shouldn’t be eating pizza, but once in a blue moon (or full moon) it shouldn’t hurt I guess. It didn’t! It was simply perfect addition to this perfect evening of summer solstice 🥰
Until next walk 💙

I hear you on moon shots. I took some yesterday as well to just delete them because they look nothing like what I saw. It's like it shrinks 5 sizes right? I'm with you though there's so much sometimes we can capture out in nature. Take care friend I hope it's easy for you to get out of bed the next time😉 💙

A lovely walk with a nice ending. Lovely photos as well. I hear you regarding the moonshots but indeed there is a lot to be grateful for especially pleasant weather to go for a stroll.
