Actifit RC: 16th May '25 - The Phlegraean fields return to be heard

It has been a very hard week for Naples and especially for the city of Pozzuoli as a new earthquake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale has shaken the two cities of the Gulf of Naples.

The epicenter of the earthquake is at sea in full port of Pozzuoli at a depth of 2.6 km right at the point of maximum lifting of the ground in the area of bradysism.

In the area of the caldera of Campi Flegrei, which is a volcano of the same species as Yellowstone, very populous cities were built and despite the presence of volcanic maar buildings have been put up even a few hundred meters from obvious craters with signs of ongoing volcanic activity.

Experts have repeatedly pointed to the risk of ground water explosions not associated with eruptive activity, which could cause panic and huge damage in the area but the authorities are not taking steps to secure the most at-risk areas.

The land lifting started in 2006 very slowly but inexorably continuously and this constitutes an unprecedented activity in this volcanic area which has recorded in the last three years the most powerful earthquakes ever known in the whole area for Documented history of the caldera.

From 2010 the alert state of the volcanic zone of the Phlegrean fields has been placed in yellow alert then in a state of attention but despite the values are growing steadily and quickly have not been increased the same alert and we do not know when and how much it takes to do Trigger an additional alert color that would allow to invest important economic resources to evacuate citizens at seismic and volcanic risk.

The main problem is that there is a province of Naples which would be involved in a possible edition puts at risk 3 million inhabitants. In this case, taking action would require huge sums of money that is a highly indebted country which Italy cannot afford.

We have based too much of a western economic system on money and finance, a system that is not able to cope with emergencies such as those caused by an unpredictable natural threat such as a volcanic eruption of historic importance.

I campi flegrei tornano a farsi sentire

È stata una settimana molto dura per Napoli e soprattutto per la città di Pozzuoli in quanto un nuovo terremoto di magnitudo 4.4 della scala Richter ha scosso le due città del Golfo di Napoli.

L'epicentro del sisma è a mare in pieno porto di Pozzuoli ad una profondità di 2,6 km proprio nel punto di massimo sollevamento del suolo nell'area del bradisismo.

Nell'area della caldera dei Campi Flegrei, che è un vulcano della specie di cui fa parte anche lo Yellowstone, sono state edificate delle città molto popolose e nonostante la presenza di maar vulcanici gli edifici sono stati messi in piedi anche a poche centinaia di metri da evidenti crateri con segni di attività vulcanica in corso.

Gli esperti hanno più volte sottolineato il rischio di esplosioni freatiche anche non associate a una attività eruttiva e che potrebbero causare panico ed enormi danni nella zona ma le autorità non prendono provvedimenti per mettere in sicurezza le aree a maggior rischio.

Il sollevamento del suolo è cominciato nel 2006 molto lentamente ma inesorabilmente in modo continuativo e ciò costituisce un'attività senza precedenti in questa area vulcanica che ha registrato negli ultimi tre anni i terremoti più potenti mai conosciuti nella zona per tutta la storia documentata della caldera.

Dal 2010 lo stato di allerta della zona vulcanica dei campi flegrei è stato posto in allerta gialla quindi in stato di attenzione ma nonostante i valori crescano costantemente e rapidamente non sono è stato incrementato lo stesso di allerta e non si sa quando e quanto ci vuole per far scattare un ulteriore colore di allerta che permetterebbe di investire risorse economiche importanti per evacuare i cittadini a rischio sismico e vulcanico.

I problemi principali è che c'è una provincia di Napoli che verrebbe coinvolta in un'eventuale edizione mette a rischio 3 milioni di abitanti. In questo caso prendere dei provvedimenti richiederebbe ingenti somme di denaro che è un paese estremamente indebitato quale l'Italia non può permettersi.

Abbiamo basato un sistema economico occidentale troppo sul denaro e sulla finanza un sistema che non è in grado di fronteggiare emergenze come quella causata da una minaccia naturale imprevedibile quale può essere un'eruzione vulcanica di portata storica.

Sperando che l'umanità rifletta su dove sta andando e sui problemi che ci sono saluto tutti gli straordinari pionieri della blockchain di Hive che sono passati tra le righe di questo report actifit.
