A warm afternoon : My Actifit Report Card: September 23 2026
September this year is going to be a warm one on the climate records. I think just about every month this year has beaten previous records for warmth. But it's not just heat, rainfall, or lack of it, has been one of the things talked about a lot too.
This week has been so warm for late September. Lovely afternoons, even when it is a bit cloudy like today it is so nice to just be outside enjoying this weather while it lasts. 😁
I can remember when I was a child, as September arrived, the wind and rain soon followed with a very chilly feeling in the mornings too, even frost!
Winters were a lot colder. I just remembered something! A fantasy figure we used to call Jack Frost had visited overnight and covered the windows in frosty patterns. A marvelous sight when you are a young child. But of course it also means the house was very cold indeed! ❄️❄️❄️❄️. We did not have central heating in those days. 😒
