The barn owl is such a magnificent bird. This one can be seen at Huxley's near Horsham, England. We have been here before and although it is a small place, there are many birds of prey here. They do have other animals as well, such as a colony of meerkats.
The stars of the show are the birds, and they have regular displays for the public.

All the birds have names, and information about the species, attached to their cages, such as the Indian Eagle Owl below.

There is a pair of red kites huddled in a cage. Very dark and difficult to get a good shot of them through the cage wire but this photo is the best I could do! 😆.

I spotted three of these impressive birds recently while out cycling. They were circling in the thermals quite low and easy to recognise with their white heads and forked tails.
I didn't manage even 5k steps today! The only exercise was walking around Huxley's 🤣. Never mind, I'll make up for it soon.

Awesome birds of prey my friend, glad you had a chance to see these birds at Huxley's!👍😀
I remember hiking through the forest and looking up at a tree, and seeing an Owl just sitting there watching my every move..... they are amazing!!🤗
Owls are funny creatures, but not as wise as we are led to believe. Apparently that is a myth.
