Sunflowers are magnificent when in bloom. But even these specimens are struggling a little in these drought conditions.
I'm not entirely sure how they seeded in this meadow, possibly blown on the wind from another field?
We are just entering yet another heatwave here in southern England. Temperatures into the low thirties again over this weekend which will add to the anxiety over lack of rainfall.
Scotland and northern parts of the uk are getting plenty of rain. That is the difference between weather either side of the jet stream, a high speed, high altitude wind, which is bisecting the uk from southwest to northeast.
This will all change eventually of course, then, maybe we will get the rain we so badly need, who knows?

Amazing sunflower. Maybe a bird planted it there, ๐. And maybe the sunshine is more important than water for it. Hope you get rain soon. ๐Rainy season at my end, a little too much.
Times with little or no rain is tough on everything from plant life, wildlife and us as well.
Hopefully, you weather will change soon.
Good job with your 6726 @actifit steps for the day. Take care!
